IRC Driven 4.0!
After over a year of work put into this. I am so happy to introduce to you guys, IRC Driven 4.0.
Lets cover the major changes here:
Website
- Major uplift from MDBootstrap 4 to MDBootstrap 5!
- Major integration enhancements with the wiki and forums
- Switch from Pinax Messages to a custom made messaging app
- Switch from Pinax Notifications to a custom made email notification handler
- Martor, the previous editor we used has been replaced with our own custom editor.
- User profiles have way more detail, including an activity stream
- Channel and Network pages have quote pages now that are bound to their networks and channels.
- A new way to link your IRC users via our IRC Link feature.
A lot has changed, you probably will come across some bugs. Feel free to report them, I plan on doing regular updates.
Known Bugs:
- Sometimes when you try and use the editor in dark mode, you can’t see the text, switch to light mode to edit those areas.
- Channel news pages fail to load with entries added (I’m working on fixing that).
- Sort by chattiness loads and then times out.
- Quick Post reply on forum doesn’t work, use full post reply form for now.
Indexer/Channel Bots
The channel bot has been incredibly enhanced.
- We have new features like a cannibas strain lookup
- the ability to link your IRC users to your IRC Driven username and use your saved data for special commands.
- When you are logged in, your username gets linked to the channel users list, and channel logs.
- You are also able to update admin settings on the fly with the bot.
- The indexer bot has been enhanced, and many of the bugs that would cause the indexer to crash before have been fixed.
