IRC Link
Linking your IRC identity to your website account for autologin and admin commands.
IRC Link associates your IRC identity (nickname + hostmask) with your IRC Driven account. Once linked, you can:
- Use admin commands in IRC (channel and network)
- Enable autologin so the bot recognizes you when you join
- Use features like
!weatherwith your saved location and submit quotes with attribution
Go to your IRC Link settings on the website, generate an authentication token, and send a private message to the channel bot: /msg [botname] LOGIN yourusername yourtoken.
After a successful login, you can enable auto-login so the bot recognizes you automatically based on your hostmask.
Strict ident matches your full hostmask (user@host). Non-strict allows matches like ~user@host. Strict provides better security but may fail if your ident format changes (e.g. after a connection change).
