Channel log management
What is the channel log
The channel log records messages from your IRC channel and displays them on the channel page. Visitors can read recent conversation without joining IRC.
Enabling and disabling
As a channel admin, open your channel's page and go to the Log (or Channel log) settings. You can turn logging on or off. When off, no new messages are recorded.
Retention and display
Logs are typically limited by time or message count (e.g. last 24 hours, last 1000 messages). Configure retention in the log settings. Older messages may be archived or deleted based on your network's policy.
Privacy
Logged messages are visible on the public channel page. Ensure your channel policy and community guidelines allow this. Some networks or channels may require user consent for logging.
