[05:34:37] Twitter IRC_Stats: Now all that is left, after a short break, are the SSL/TLS scans the next hour(s) and some more checking of the data.

[05:34:37] Twitter IRC_Stats: New this year is the IPv6 scan. The deduplication work had to be improved to get rid of duplicates for servers who listen on both IPv4 and IPv6 and did not allow a full IRC connection handshake. Only impacts CAP and TLS stats, not software/services stats, but still..

[05:34:37] Twitter IRC_Stats: Many IRC networks use a "Services package". Anope is used on 68% of the servers (serving 112k users), atheme on 16% (serving 72k users). [05:34:37] Twitter IRC_Stats: Just for clarity: when the scanner can fully connect to the IRC server it receives so much information that it is easy to make a "unique fingerprint" of the server. Server deduplication works excellent then. There was only extra work needed for servers that don't allow us in.
