[19:20:40] Valware Hi! I was wondering if I could get some ideas n thoughts n stuff from this channel
[19:20:52] Valware The idea at the moment is to create a module which will allow better bot interfacing. The idea is to allow a user to mark their bot as managed by them. Initially I thought this could work in METADATA, but because of the must-know information (“this bot is managed/owned by so-and-so”) it would be better to have this information transparent in a /WHOIS, and for a deeper attempt to help
[19:20:53] Valware resolve commonly-known bot issues such as flooding and replaying history to them, which may trigger a command or a loop (such as !die)
[19:22:32] Valware the same as how there are user accounts, I want actual bot accounts, and compatibility for them to be logged into via services
[19:23:44] Valware I think it would be cool to be able to send a signal from the owner to the server, from the server to the bot, telling them to restart
[19:23:56] Valware or even forcing them out
[19:24:30] Valware idk how often bots actually get hijacked, I've only ever seen one, and I was the one doing the hijacking
[19:25:10] Valware so in my BotServ (in my services) I wanna be able to "Add your own bot"
[19:25:38] Valware it will come with a set of commands and things you can choose to listen to or ignore
[19:26:04] Valware like for example I could make `/bs act #channel` use your own bot
[19:26:09] Valware by sending them a signal for it
[19:27:28] Valware so another thought is, actually communicating with the bot
[19:28:05] Valware I know a few people who have this "bot2bot protocol" they came up with, it could be fun to see what that's like...
[19:28:55] Valware if anyone have any ideas
[19:29:29] Valware let me hear your ideas for making bots easier to actually be bots
