So I see one of the issues with the crawler right now is when a new server is picked up, its not able to add it, the server has to exist first.

I understand the lack of interest in help too. I'm one of a few people left running services (IRC, Web, well that's it) for an old online community that was thriving back around late 90s and earlier 00s. Can't really blame people though, lives are fast moving and if there isn't an easy way to contribute something when you can, you just don't even think of it.
