[13:13:40] jmjl CT, do you know how I could block certain local users from binding ports in a specific range?, (or making those bound ports not being accessible to the internet, but a specific user be able to), and how to ban (localy) connecting to certain ports if they aren't a specific uid, it'd help a lot

[13:15:59] jmjl you make a special jail, and then make it query every ip of the dnsbl and ban it

[13:16:28] jmjl I don't know how you could run a script when a IP connects to the host, but it should be somehow doable

[13:17:24] jmjl the thing about fail2ban is that you can easily set it to block a ip for let's say 15 minutes if they do certain things to a specific range of ports

[13:17:39] jmjl and then you can visualize how many ip's are banned and everything

[13:18:31] jmjl your idea of the script is nice, but as I don't know iptables I can't know anything
