[16:28:45] jmjl Didn't know you could have a colorfull hostname :P
[16:30:51] jmjl foxy: so the irc standard supports it?
[16:31:27] jmjl foxy: can you if you are a netop on a network use atheme to assign it?
[16:32:25] jmjl foxy: so I have to ask Worm` for the modification, and I'd have to apply it on all servers?
[16:33:02] jmjl !bang
[16:33:35] jmjl foxy: all I'd need is the source for the module, and I'd have to apply it on every server, if so it's sad as I'll probably not get the aproval from other server owners
[16:33:38] jmjl Kuro-chan: bang
[16:35:32] jmjl I have some issues, atheme complains, I am going to check what happens if I just pretend that services sent the vhost command using os
[16:37:23] jmjl can someone tell me the syntax for the unrealircd vhost command, there's spare docs in the internet, and I wish to test it.
[16:37:43] jmjl I am also too lazy to actually trigger real vhost changes and log them using the pseudoserver crap I built up
[16:38:18] jmjl I think it was UID not nick but thanks
[16:39:13] jmjl ComputerTech: you should !unarm -static End3r
[16:40:04] jmjl ComputerTech: I can verify that by default Unrealircd won't support them
[16:40:14] jmjl but then I dobt it's in the spec
[16:41:03] jmjl ComputerTech: you could setup bitbee for Discord :)
[16:41:17] jmjl launchd: True
[16:41:25] jmjl I personally perffer it that way
[16:41:32] jmjl launchd: or just don't use discord
[16:41:59] jmjl They are little dickheads that log everything you type, you should asume everything typed there to be public
[16:42:34] jmjl I wish 4 letter domain suggestions, for memorable nicks that don't contain my username as I want them to be as generic as possible
[16:44:09] jmjl launchd: at least discord is more truthfull than Whatsapp lol, I can certify that a police officer said they had a backdoor in plain language lol :P
[16:45:58] jmjl yeah, lol. I am forced to use it as most stuff requires it but i try to provide as little as info as possible, hell even my username is just a '' (zwsp.me)
[16:46:59] jmjl launchd: I was going to push family/friends to signal, but I didn't, and after I read about them not wanting to let decentralization (as they can't update the server software of other softwares)
[16:50:13] jmjl launchd: are you a freenode or libera staff? if so specify
[16:51:18] jmjl I thouht this behaviour was inapropiate for #computertech in rizon, acording to rizon's channel page :P
[16:51:46] jmjl foxy: I mean, the operators battling
[16:52:18] jmjl ComputerTech: I also only know ben from the list of libera's opers
[16:53:12] jmjl ComputerTech, foxy: Apparently colored hostnames are outside the RFC, the RFC says to see the DNS RFC for details on allowed hostnames
[16:53:24] jmjl which I think also means that user/$account isn't a RFC compliant host
[16:54:08] jmjl nice to know that the RFC's aren't to be followed, will apply with internal RFCs
[17:01:54] jmjl I have another one for you, and it's pretty sneaky, (but it's on the troublemaker side): https://www.uninformativ.de/git/jenny/file/jenny.html#l838
[17:01:58] jmjl launchd: ^
[17:02:07] jmjl sorry, I wanted to type your nick but didn't notice I did so
[17:02:57] jmjl yep, did you know how I noticed the error?
[17:03:02] jmjl !bang
[17:03:03] jmjl !bang
[17:03:05] jmjl !bang
[17:03:08] jmjl f*
[17:03:11] jmjl I wanted it
[17:03:49] jmjl launchd: my mail client (aerc), was working fine until a patch was applied to try to fix performance, and that patch made those emails be properly checked, so my threading stopped working
[17:04:11] jmjl I had to patch the maildir using sed and then have a local patch which just replaces a few things for them to be proper.
[17:05:10] jmjl jenny is used as a twtxt client, so to be nice to them, I made all message id's be suffixed with '@twtxt', and I later needed to modify the other part of code that checks the header to remove it when replying
[17:05:17] jmjl I should probably send it upstream
[17:06:55] jmjl I hate myself, I configured Shift-Alt to switch keyboard layout as I want a proper modifier key, and I am seeing myself having to switch layout again when I switch incorrectly
[17:08:40] jmjl I'll have to check if the two other lines I added are needed or can be skipped.
[17:19:58] jmjl Can someone explain me the following line properly acording to RFC meanings?
[17:20:11] jmjl RECOMMENDED that the right hand side contain some domain identifier
[17:20:25] jmjl It is <line pasted>
[17:21:09] jmjl Does that mean that a Message-ID header doesn't need to contain a at symbol?
[17:21:56] jmjl Frogorg: I need to make up a excuse to add a few lines of code to a small tiny project, (because without them aerc fails misserably)
[17:22:11] jmjl we'll it complains that the mail isn't valid or something like that
[17:23:15] jmjl ^ it isn't a email address, it is a message identifier, so it is optional in a certain sense
[17:24:18] jmjl yep
[17:24:34] jmjl oh, I can say that even when it's optional it's recommended and the implication of not having it there is that some mail clients which asume it's optional will not process the emails properly?
[17:26:14] jmjl yeah, so if we aren't going to be sending this email to somewhere else, technically aerc is out of spec right?
[17:26:46] jmjl So I should ask the aerc developers to fix their client instead of sending a patch to jenny's devs
[17:26:47] jmjl !bang
[17:27:28] jmjl Frogorg: the only reason I can come up with is to save space
[17:27:55] jmjl ComputerTech: I am not Worm`
[17:28:27] jmjl You wanted me to make it work or you wanted Peorth to make !pat work?
[17:28:46] jmjl Frogorg: are people who submit RFC's actually obligated to put in their phone number?
[17:29:09] jmjl oh
[17:29:47] jmjl Because most RFC's I look over have them, and it seems funny that people share their legal name, along with their email and phone number
[17:31:06] jmjl Frogorg: Can the phone be the University's phone number?
[17:32:02] jmjl I'm gonna write up a commit, wait a sec
[17:33:03] jmjl ComputerTech: can you patch the relay to not ping me when people ping me?
[17:42:23] jmjl Frogorg: can you check my patch? https://temp.jmjl.wer.ee/6432f8f190950d1b.txt
[17:42:33] jmjl it's technically a .patch file
[17:49:45] jmjl Frogorg: I think the patch is proper, I'll send it
[17:50:49] jmjl thanks
[17:53:23] jmjl oh nice the subjectPrefix option is under another namespace lol
[17:59:31] jmjl Sent
[18:10:02] jmjl do you like sheeps CT?
[18:11:06] jmjl Oh, I don't understand what you mean by joke mode?
[18:12:09] jmjl Oh, I haven't heard them, I was asking because of h4's message telling people that you might get mad at them
[18:12:13] jmjl !meow
[18:12:26] jmjl I did it because I know that doesn't work :P
[18:13:49] jmjl I have this little tiny problem that I'm too lazy to fix, some audio wire in my setup is a bit broken, and makes a poping noise twice per second (I think)
[18:16:02] jmjl It'd be fun making a impossible reaction, possible. Like somehow taking two atoms of oxigen and one of hidrogen and with some other compontents, get those components duplicated and also get the h_{2}o duplicated too
[18:16:37] jmjl sushi-chan: my dealer phone number?
[18:16:48] jmjl I want you to make such a reaction thanks?
[18:17:35] jmjl sushi-chan: which drug?, (also you must give drug request from doctor)
[18:17:58] jmjl I'd also like a time machine
[18:18:32] jmjl ComputerTech: give me protection :)
[18:19:23] jmjl CT, you mystiped Komputer's name, it should be komputer, not komputer
[18:19:56] jmjl ComputerTech: last time komputer was with a all lowercase nick, but the new komputer users a upercase nick
[18:20:09] jmjl oh
[18:23:12] jmjl Would it be possible to make a webauthn proxy, so you connect your fido key to my authenticator device, and it forwards the traffic from the usb device to a remote server (that has the private keys), and then notify that authenticator device about the username or privileges or the user?
[18:25:27] jmjl It'd be fun if possible, as I wanted to make a house authentication system, (but I won't probably make it until I get a job), in which the authenticating user would register their fido/webauthn key on a website, and then they'd be able to access certain facilities based on specific permissions set by the house's administrator.
[18:25:52] jmjl ComputerTech: unrealircd webpannel?
[18:26:20] jmjl I am just ignoring part of the conversation
[18:27:07] jmjl ComputerTech: I don't know if we should use that on teapot.chat, it might be nice, but I think everything can alredy be done on IRC right?
[18:27:36] jmjl ComputerTech: yeah, they show admins more info, I'll post a question in the mailing list
[18:27:55] jmjl ComputerTech: which ircd rizon uses?
[18:28:11] jmjl thanks
[18:28:20] jmjl I'll look if words can be banned on channels
[18:28:59] jmjl ComputerTech: could you ban certain words?, i'll pass them on the other channel
[18:29:52] jmjl oh, then I think you wouldn't add them as I think people are joking so I don't know
