[04:48:09] NiniGeo2 It clips triangles in service of the downstream triangle setup unit to make sure that the triangle verts don't extend outside of the guard bands (which would cause the rasterizer to write out of bounds of th render target and corrupt memory).

[04:48:10] NiniGeo2 It also handles culling of triangles that are completely off-screen to kill them before the rasterizer wastes a bunch of time trying to draw all of their off-screen pixels!
