[04:40:22] Clive_Rosfield I beat FF16 a couple nights ago, it's one of the best games in the series.

[04:41:45] Clive_Rosfield FF15 was a failed attempt to imitate a western RPG, I love western RPGs, but FF15 failed miserably.

[04:42:19] Clive_Rosfield FF16 is a hack & slash action/RPG, gone are the days of turn based Final Fantasy, and I'm okay with that.

[04:42:57] Clive_Rosfield Square-Enix still makes turn based RPGs, just not turn based Final Fantasy.

[04:47:11] Clive_Rosfield Alundra is a great Zelda clone, but it's impossible to play without a walkthrough of some sort because of the damned puzzles. I have a strategy guide that got me through the whole game, I 100%'ed it.

[04:48:17] Clive_Rosfield Alundra 2 was a good game too, it got a lot of hate for not being connected to the first Alundra, but it was still a good game in its own right... minus the horrid voice acting.

[04:49:56] Clive_Rosfield I first played Alundra when I was in either 6th or 7th grade, back when it was new.

[04:50:43] Clive_Rosfield I loved it so much, but if I didn't have that strategy guide I'd have hated it.

[04:51:57] Clive_Rosfield Yeah. I don't like Working Designs' translation though. The blacksmith that takes Alundra in talks like an old Jewish guy, there's a surfer dude who talks like a surfer, they make stupid pop culture references. Yeah, not a fan of Working Designs' translation.

[04:52:53] Clive_Rosfield The blacksmith would have been a good character if they didn't make him talk like that in the English version.

[04:53:04] Clive_Rosfield The surfer, probably not.

[04:53:14] Clive_Rosfield Though I don't think he was a surfer in the Japanese version.

[04:56:08] Clive_Rosfield Lunar: Silver Star Story is another example of bad Working Designs translation, that's why Silver Star Harmony for PSP is the best version of Lunar: Silver Star. Silver Star Harmony is a remake of the PS1 version of Silver Star Story, and it was translated by XSeed, they do good translations and don't try to add their humor into the games they

[05:01:20] Clive_Rosfield Lunar: Silver Star has like four different versions, The Silver Star for Sega CD, Silver Star Story for Saturn and PS1, Lunar Legend for GBA and Silver Star Harmony for PSP.

[05:01:57] Clive_Rosfield I haven't played Lunar Legend, it too might be good since Working Designs didn't translate that one.

[05:03:25] Clive_Rosfield Suikoden II is my second favorite RPG on PS1 next to Xenogears.

[05:04:25] Clive_Rosfield Xenogears is a stand alone game, it's not officially connected to Xenosaga or Xenoblade Chronicles, Suikoden on the other hand, five main games and a few spinoffs.
