[15:20:51] jmjl foxy: could you inform computertech that his tilde.green ovh dedi has a bad disk?
[15:23:51] jmjl foxy: should I remount the disk as readonly?
[15:24:33] jmjl yep
[15:24:40] jmjl only that ssh is soo slow
[15:24:56] jmjl because i have a slow internet connection
[15:25:32] jmjl foxy: I have root access to it, it's a pubnix that ComputerTech decided to setup, so I guess if I remount the filesystem as read-only we'll have a better chance when they fix the disks right?
[15:28:43] jmjl foxy: is doing sudo su <<EoF, echo s >/proc/sysrq-trigger
[15:28:43] jmjl echo u >/proc/sysrq-trigger
[15:28:45] jmjl EoF
[15:28:47] jmjl a good idea?
[15:33:53] jmjl Done it anyways as a safety measure, because systemd wasn't working properly
[21:11:40] jmjl foxy: why, it's the simplest protocol, it should be easy for them to learn it?
[21:12:14] jmjl Oh, yeah obs they'll get addicted to the propietary protocols :P
[21:12:59] jmjl Didn't a big company internally use IRC as it helped them comunicate efectively?
[21:14:24] jmjl n0s3y|afk: aren't you afk?
[21:15:16] jmjl esjay: I read a blog post about a individual setting up a alternate system to xmpp when their internet connection went down.
[21:16:25] jmjl Syndus_: what's a satcom?, I haven't surfed them I think, but I used the gemini and use it sometimes.
[21:18:53] jmjl Syndus_: oh, I didn't know that existed, I haven't used them nor I have the equipement required
[21:19:08] jmjl Syndus_: what I was talking about of the blog post was about a link local xmpp server
[21:21:04] jmjl Syndus_: who uses it to find where to go?
[21:30:53] jmjl Lex: do you have different passwords per site?
[21:31:49] jmjl letmein :)
[21:32:27] jmjl esjay: you could check how it's ranked in the wordlists
[21:32:32] jmjl at least on rockyou
[21:33:03] jmjl nope
[21:33:09] jmjl at least in my copy of rockyou
[21:33:24] jmjl what lists should I download?
[21:36:08] jmjl !bang
[21:36:10] jmjl !reload
[21:36:11] jmjl !bang
[21:36:13] jmjl !bang
[21:37:42] jmjl Lex: yeah the nicest thing is to ask your local representative for RD contact details, and if they fail to comply send a message to all the users of the platform (even when you're not supposed to be able to do that) to inform them to email you the RD details :P
[21:38:17] jmjl Also, what's the curtesy time you wait until RD replies before publicly publishing the vuln?
[21:38:43] jmjl I mean it's their fault trying to reinvent the wheel
[21:39:17] jmjl If a messaging system alredy exists (email), why the f* create another that requires you to log in and use their damn ugly web portal
[21:39:57] jmjl Lex: responsible disclosure
[21:40:02] jmjl or however it's called on the field
[21:40:24] jmjl Lex: that thing where you come to the company and tell them with anticipation about their issue
[21:40:38] jmjl esjay: is it a good idea to publish 0-days willy nilly?
[21:41:34] jmjl esjay: kb
[21:41:45] jmjl Lex: and what if they're a goverment funded company?
[21:43:01] jmjl Lex: it technically could harm them, it just is a matter of finding out some endpoints I don't know where they are, and checking some things
[21:43:21] jmjl oh yeah it could technically harm the users, if you consider a message private or at least not public to any other user of the system
[21:43:48] jmjl Syndus_: I know that those old OS's are used on the wild, I have a relative that uses a old windows system still.
[21:44:17] jmjl true
[21:44:28] jmjl I'll later ask them if they updated the system
[21:44:53] jmjl esjay: yeah that's the thing I don't know how to make them give me money for the vuln
[21:45:18] jmjl esjay: they don't
[21:45:34] jmjl but I still don't like the vulns being there :P
[21:46:20] jmjl true
[21:46:54] jmjl esjay: the thing is the system is so fucked up that I can't even get the technically public security address :P
[21:47:26] jmjl esjay: the thing is that you'd need creds in the system to do anything
[21:47:50] jmjl and only a few amount of people get those creds, in 3 cases: teacher, parent, student :P
[21:48:58] jmjl yep, it's a educational system with 2 pretty big vulns, the first would let you get any message by getting the random id (they fixed that flaw on the other portal), and the second lets you get any expedient and name of a person from just a expedient id
[21:50:05] jmjl I don't know, I'll try to get a handle of them
[21:50:59] jmjl I also hate this, `curl https://www.incibe.es/ciudadania/avisos/feed`
[21:51:21] jmjl could you guys please use a updated TLS cypher, at least...
[22:22:29] jmjl !reload
[22:43:10] jmjl !bang
[22:43:16] jmjl lol, what
[22:44:10] jmjl Weird, I though the system alredy went down as I didn't see anybody get the duck
[22:45:15] jmjl ComputerTech: but I am connected to tilde.green
[22:45:20] jmjl so...
[22:46:01] jmjl ComputerTech: can you restart it via ovh's control pannel?
[22:46:23] jmjl let's see
[22:46:32] jmjl ok still up
[22:46:42] jmjl yeah I will disconnect when the thing goes down?
[22:46:47] jmjl should I connect a second client?
