[04:15:40] NeedNightmarehelp any macrium reflect experts here?
[04:24:34] NeedNightmarehelp lots of technical issues going on. BSOD and you name it.
[04:25:22] NeedNightmarehelp lets just say my pc does not like it when I connect 3 hard drives up at the same time
[04:26:06] NeedNightmarehelp solution, I put a image file using reflect on usb, assuming I could use that image to copy to another hard drive
[04:26:21] NeedNightmarehelp but it seems the software may not do that
[04:27:03] NeedNightmarehelp 1. The OS I use that has reflect on. 2. The hard drive I want to copy 3. The hard drive I want to copy to.
[04:27:45] NeedNightmarehelp That method fails, the pc croaks, but hold on
[04:27:53] NeedNightmarehelp I can get 2 hard drives running
[04:28:34] NeedNightmarehelp 1. The OS I use that has reflect. 2. The destination hard drive I want to clone. 3. The USB external that contains the reflect image I want the program to use to copy to the destination
[04:29:33] NeedNightmarehelp Peorth, I believe it's an IDE cable issue. I must get rid of this IDE hard drive. The only way to do that is clone on another drive. And install the reflect on. Then get the actual hard drive to actually clone
[04:30:17] NeedNightmarehelp PC still has sata connections although
[04:31:32] NeedNightmarehelp Gentoo, thanks, but I must use reflect. It's already got the backup image clone. I just need to know, if it can use the image clone itsself to copy to destination drive. Which will of course create a clone on the test drive. Then I can get rid of unstable IDE configuration
[04:32:32] NeedNightmarehelp I don't think this software will copy from mounted backups that it actually created which is weird.
[04:32:42] NeedNightmarehelp let me check.
[04:42:43] NeedNightmarehelp also fideco usb3.0 model S3G-pl03 which I was going to use for a laptop doesnt work either. That would have been a great tool if it worked.
[04:43:17] NeedNightmarehelp I suppose I could use amazon prime to buy something that works
[04:43:58] NeedNightmarehelp well, funny thing is now they dont include anything with hard drives so I heard people use duct tape to secure it in LOL
[04:44:12] NeedNightmarehelp no screws, no instruction booklet, nothing
[04:45:02] NeedNightmarehelp oh and no sata cable
[04:49:50] NeedNightmarehelp blue screen of indicates 0x000000F4, (0x000000000000003) which can indicate anything from bad hard drive, bad sata cable,, etc....
[04:50:36] NeedNightmarehelp when I started this whole process
[04:52:10] NeedNightmarehelp I just had two hard drives hooked up. OLD OS that has reflect on it. THat was done on purpose. And then the my original OS I wanted to clone hooked up. Both hard drives booted up just fine. Then I just used reflect to just back up the whole OS itself onto a USB external. No errors nothing.
[04:52:43] NeedNightmarehelp Then I connected the third drive with the sata cable I bought. That's when serious problems began.
[04:53:00] NeedNightmarehelp lets just say its been a nightmare
[04:53:30] NeedNightmarehelp I havent even gotten to the part where I wanted to clone old hard drive to my new hard drive.
[04:54:15] NeedNightmarehelp "whole OS iteself to a usb external to a reflect image
[04:56:50] NeedNightmarehelp I cant move forward until I can at least clone a empty test drive I have laying around that is sata. So I can take that clone, and install reflect on. And get rid of unstable IDE config
[04:59:48] NeedNightmarehelp Of course another solution is to just use test clone hard drive to install a new operating system and install reflect on. Only problem is I wanted to use it as a test clone. And installing a new OS can take forever. This all could be solved if my Fideco USB3.0 to sta converter would work
[05:08:41] NeedNightmarehelp here we go again, I'm booting desktop computer (with 2 hard drives) lets see if reflect can mount image and copy image to destination drive* PLEASE!
[05:17:43] NeedNightmarehelp oh never mind it does do what I want it to do.
[05:18:13] NeedNightmarehelp I guess my mind was so fried about all of this
