[06:14:51] BlackSnow today i bought an xbox 360 for 50 bucks with the Jasper v2 (kronos) motherboard in it, took it apart, deep cleaned it, new thermal paste, gpu heatsink upgrade and reassembled it into an xbox 360 elite case

[06:21:20] BlackSnow well i had 4 of them that i got at thrift stores and pawn shops and such for like 10 bucks each and i finally decided to look at them, of course none worked so i got to work and only managed to get one fully up and running.

[06:22:29] BlackSnow but upon doing research i found out that the last motherboard made for the phat 360 had fixed the red ring issue and was highly sought after so i found one and put it in the extra elite case i had

[06:30:57] BlackSnow well that one has the motherboard from the xbox i bought today in it and its a jasper v2 so those dont ever really have issues, hence why i got it, but the other xbox i fixed yes i soldered quite a bit

[06:35:20] BlackSnow open the drive, desolder the main board, and swap it into a working drive so the console thinks its the same disk drive.

[06:35:20] BlackSnow franstam i had one really nasty xbox with a broken disk drive yet it was the only one that managed to work, i ended up taking out the motherboard and spraying it down with hot water in the shower, then douced it with alcahol, then it had 13 blown capacitors (no idea how it even worked) but i stole good ones off a bad board and soldered them on, then i had to replace the disk drive but its mated to the console so i had to
