[04:37:24] irc_standardnick hello ComputerTech
[04:39:34] irc_standardnick https://ibb.co/album/ngLbKR .Some images of narrow gauge trains, sadly, now abandoned
[05:34:52] irc_standardnick ComputerTech, which distro?
[05:35:06] irc_standardnick ChRoNiC, are you Indian?
[05:44:35] irc_standardnick ChRoNiC, I went by kirk previously. I then decided to unify all my irc nicks across all servers into one boring one. :p. Also, hello fellow INdian
[05:45:07] irc_standardnick .yt awaara hoon
[05:45:34] irc_standardnick h4, I was fucked more times by bluetooth on linux than girls
[05:47:50] irc_standardnick I was just making a stupid comparasion.
[05:53:03] irc_standardnick h4, do you want me to cuss you in Hindi? :p
[06:02:10] irc_standardnick h4, Indian cuisine is honestly more diverse. I haven't eaten true version of many versions of dishes in Indians. Some dishes, especially from western and south India are milder on the senses than North India
[06:03:31] irc_standardnick I shit in the streets. That makes me an Indian,.....wait, that is San Francisco's thing
[06:04:06] irc_standardnick What is British food called in civilized countries? Prison food
[06:04:54] irc_standardnick h4, I only know one user here and that is ComputerTech :p
[06:05:34] irc_standardnick Wait, ComputerTech isn't Irish?
[06:06:23] irc_standardnick God damn it, I almost thought I ran into a true U2 Irish fan :p
[06:07:14] irc_standardnick lol, their forced album on apple devices
[06:07:30] irc_standardnick Peace
[06:35:09] irc_standardnick ComputerTech, he was referring to me as the new guy
[06:36:46] irc_standardnick h4, where are you from?
[06:37:03] irc_standardnick lol
[06:37:52] irc_standardnick ComputerTech, have you seen Twilight Zone, the original version?
[06:38:51] irc_standardnick I watched only some episodes of the original Black and White run, so was ahem, sailing the high seas downloading them
[06:40:04] irc_standardnick "I don't care if you are 13 years old, no i don't want your ID" - Mick Jagger
[06:41:09] irc_standardnick "Tell me the way to the next little girl, oh don't ask why" - Jim Morrison. God damn it, rock songs can be weird
[06:42:13] irc_standardnick OH, the undertones are an irish band. "Teenage Kicks" is a banger by them
[06:43:14] irc_standardnick My perfect cousin, what I like to do he doesn't
[06:43:58] irc_standardnick ghostnode, are you British?
[06:45:01] irc_standardnick I even have heard bootlegs from them
[06:46:30] irc_standardnick I still firmly believe that some of best prog rock came from England. Yes and Genesis' middle period was awesome before it tanked down
[06:46:50] irc_standardnick .yt Darkness - VdGG
[06:47:14] irc_standardnick I am all lost in the supermarket, can no longer shop happily
[06:48:07] irc_standardnick ghostnode, I think it was when Phil Collins' was lead singer
[06:48:50] irc_standardnick I guess so. Genesis early work was stuff like Nursery Cryme, Foxtrot{which I love}, Selling England by the Pound
[06:50:10] irc_standardnick I only listened to half a dozen albums I think, mostly from early half. In terms of drumming, there was Keith Moon from the Who who was a human drum machine but hated drum solos
[06:50:36] irc_standardnick .yt drum battle Buddy Rich
[06:50:42] irc_standardnick Wait, wrong one
[06:51:36] irc_standardnick I meant, compared to folks like John Bonham, Keith Moon, didn't do much drum solos in live settings. He found them boring. The former didn't meanwhile
[06:53:42] irc_standardnick Ironically, there are only two Zeppelin albums I like in full. The fourth one and the debut one. Otherwise, mostly singular songs from here and there.
[06:54:09] irc_standardnick .yt Carry Fire
[06:54:57] irc_standardnick Robert Plant's later solo output was/is much more mature than his work with Zeppelin. No wonder he hates singing 'Stairway to Heaven' for the nth time.
[06:56:07] irc_standardnick ghostnode, do you think you will outlive the Rolling Stones as a band?
[06:58:05] irc_standardnick The oldest band in action is, IIRC, from Japan in their 90s now
[06:59:24] irc_standardnick ghostnode, in terms of years active
[07:01:27] irc_standardnick I was playing The Doors once on speaker when someone walked in and asked me to listen to something more from my country instead of "modern english music". I immediately switched to 1930s hindi film music. The songs from that era are sung in so nasal a tone that it would tear most people
[07:01:46] irc_standardnick He immediately wanted to listen to english music in <2 mins
[07:02:52] irc_standardnick It took me a long time to appreciate hindi music from 1930s and 1940s since it is so different from modern music of any kind.
[07:04:52] irc_standardnick ghostnode, have you listened to "Bridges to Babylon"? When I was first starting with Rolling stones, i picked this album as the starting point. And it was unfortunately, the second worst album probably they have ever made. Turned me off them for months
[07:05:04] irc_standardnick !bang
[07:05:09] irc_standardnick !bang
[07:05:11] irc_standardnick !bang
[07:05:13] irc_standardnick !bang
[07:05:17] irc_standardnick !bang
[07:05:19] irc_standardnick !bang
[07:10:40] irc_standardnick the first proper rock band to tour india was the police, I think. They were visiting countries for their debut album, where rock wasn't popular, like Egypt or India. They reached Mumbai{then Bombay} to play a show at the end of 70s, I think
[07:10:57] irc_standardnick .yt the police - live in bombay
[07:11:57] irc_standardnick I was chatting with a police fan on RYM site until our conversation was derailed by a bloody moderator :sigh
[07:14:13] irc_standardnick ghostnode, yes, the Police were a good band, if the members didn't hate each other so badly :p. The only band which I know more about because of it's members ego rather than it's music is Oasis.
[07:14:51] irc_standardnick I have not heard a single song about Oasis but know the two folks name for no reason
[07:16:45] irc_standardnick The two brothers {they are brothers, right?} have egos as if they changed the course of music. Miles DAvis and John Coltrane once played together, and they had much smaller egos than them
[07:18:04] irc_standardnick !bang
[07:19:00] irc_standardnick ghostnode, I also know an english friend. atleast, i think he is english because he can't exist unless he drinks 6 cups of tea per day
[07:24:37] irc_standardnick Ray Davies and Dave DAvies were also brothers in the Kinks. They also had massive disagreements. While I don't love the Kinks too much, I appreciate Ray DAvies mature songwriting and Dave Davies could play the guitar as good as anybody
[07:24:53] irc_standardnick Welp, time for lunch here.
