[00:36:21] tr [S] <DeepB|ue> Vaping is cheaper.
[00:36:34] tr [S] <DeepB|ue> Nic Saltz rule.
[00:37:09] tr [S] <DeepB|ue> I wanted to stop smoking cigarettes....not necessarily stop nicotine.
[00:37:50] tr [S] <DeepB|ue> Yeah, it's the exhale.
[00:37:59] tr [S] <DeepB|ue> ....and the inhlae.
[00:38:06] tr [S] <DeepB|ue> inhale*
[00:42:37] tr [S] <DeepB|ue> I guess it depends on how much you smoke/vape.

[18:24:31] tr [S] <~phish> -.,¸¸.-·°'`'°·-.,¸¸.-·°'`'°· \_O< QUACK
[18:44:16] tr [T] <~Amiga600> wanna ask everyone here - what are you thoughts on Windows 11 - I am sorta sat on the fence really - some say dont upgrade - others say its ok and I should - my pc is compatible according to the PC Health Check (sadly my laptop isnt, I was gonna try it on that first, but no TPM chip v2 - its got TPM 1.2)
[18:44:54] tr [T] <~Amiga600> I use it for gaming - linux isnt good for gaming YET
[18:46:32] tr [T] <~Amiga600> well I do have linux installed and use that for most things but some things you still need Windows sadly
[18:46:56] tr [T] <~Amiga600> so really best to hold off then?
[18:50:47] tr [T] <~Amiga600> media laptop allows you to stream media around the home using samba or DLNA server
[18:52:13] tr [T] <~Amiga600> well thing I hate with DLNA is the dam stupid folders setup where it puts "Video" "Audio" and shit on your browser - where SAMBA puts the HDD folder on the screen instead, and files are just click'n'play - why the hell does DLNA need to complicate matters for, just show me the fucking HDD folders so I can pick my files easier
[18:54:49] tr [T] <~Amiga600> and DLNA needs windows media player to scan your hdd and put things into those stupid "folders" so you can access them - where samba is like browsing your hdd from windows directly on your TV - much better
[18:57:33] tr [T] <~Amiga600> well if I could plug my hdd into my linux system and have a system where my TV could browse the disk from there and play the files, I would use linux for that - but I am not 100% sure how to share a linux drive as "samba" what my TV supports, it struggles with the DLNA route, sometimes doesnt even see any files, despite me rescanning with WMP
[18:59:44] tr [T] <~Amiga600> probably need to get a new tv at some point, what hopefully fully supports DLNA streaming
[19:08:46] tr [T] <~Amiga600> my dad had a smart TV when he first installed it, the TV was gonna collect voice data, channels watched, usbs inserted and their contents, and tons of other things, and there were no opt outs to all this either - so I just skipped the online connection completely
[19:09:26] tr [T] <~Amiga600> vodafone do TV packages?!
[19:15:31] tr [T] <~Amiga600> they dont tend to knock on doors now, in my town, theres 2 old ladies what have a display where you can pick off the watch tower from, if you really care about that sorta thing - always there everyday, rain or shine - makes ya wonder if its worth all the hassle going into town sat there in all weathers
[19:21:57] tr [T] <~Amiga600> I have cctv on my front door, so any salesmen who call, instantly get the "not in" sorta reply, ie. nobody answers the door
[20:31:39] tr [T] <@Harzilein> does an equivalent to xvfb even exist for wayland?
[20:31:56] tr [T] <@Harzilein> that's not what i mean
[20:32:09] tr [T] <@Harzilein> i mean for integration tests of wayland clients on headless machines
[20:33:26] tr [T] <@Harzilein> apparently sway has a headless backend through WLR
[20:38:23] tr [T] <@Harzilein> hmm
[20:39:00] tr [T] * @Harzilein has extreme deficits regarding musical theory. but i gather it's implied that it's a common one?
[20:39:28] tr [T] <@Harzilein> Data::Dataset::ChordProgressions (3pm) - Provide access to hundreds of possible chord progressions
[20:39:37] tr [T] <@Harzilein> maybe that perl module will explain it to me
[20:39:55] tr [T] <@Harzilein> Mikoolo/rizon: "cue sad cancer-ridden rms"?
[20:40:18] tr [T] <@Harzilein> let me retrieve a vrms report for my system
[20:41:02] tr [T] <@Harzilein> there's always lgogdownloader
[21:09:08] tr [T] <&Ryu> !bang
[21:09:16] tr [T] <&Ryu> oh well
[22:59:08] tr [S] <~phish> no
[22:59:19] tr [S] <~phish> the answer is probably 7
[23:00:28] tr [S] <~phish> will it run openwrt
[23:00:55] tr [S] <~phish> chances are it will
[23:00:58] tr [S] <~phish> then that is well documented
[23:01:37] tr [S] <~phish> why are you using a russian router
[23:02:43] tr [S] <~phish> i would not even bother backing up the software, try openwrt and if it doesnt work throw it out and have them buy something ele
[23:03:19] tr [S] <~phish> sketchy networking equipment is not worth it
