[05:06:40] tr [T] <Finrod_Faithful> Which allocation unit size is ideal when you are formatting a new Recovery Partition of a Solid State Drive that is using the GPT disk layout with UEFI for the Windows 10 64-bit operating system, assuming you will be deleting a 508 MB Recovery Partition and using 93 GB of unallocated space right beside it, to create a new Recovery Partition that is 16 GB in size, in the same place, still located at the end of the disk?
[05:07:57] tr [T] <Finrod_Faithful> See Disk 1 in this pic: https://postimg.cc/DJYvv5yd
[05:14:56] tr [T] <Finrod_Faithful> I think 16 GB for a recovery partition seems excessive, but I'm trying to think long term, in case there are more updates with large files from Microsoft in the future, and I think the Recovery partition can easily get cluttered and run out of space over a long period of time
[05:17:39] tr [T] <Finrod_Faithful> when I manually formatted my system drive before installing Windows 10, I left 10% of the Windows disk as unallocated space, in order to lengthen the lifespan of the SSD drive
[05:18:00] tr [T] <Finrod_Faithful> and this just happens to be located right beside the Recovery Partition, so it may be an ideal use of the unallocated space, in order to accomodate the KB5034441 update
[05:18:24] tr [T] <Finrod_Faithful> while still keeping unallocated space available to lengthen the lifespan of the SSD, because I would still have 77 GB of space unallocated
[07:02:58] tr [T] <Finrod_Faithful> I want to fix and pretty up Windows PowerShell a la Chris Titus's Oh My Posh recommendation, but I'm not sure if I need to download Oh My Posh from GitHub first, before I run his one-line script that installs most of the needed scripts
[07:03:38] tr [T] <Finrod_Faithful> See https://christitus.com/pretty-powershell/
[07:04:33] tr [T] <Finrod_Faithful> But may be you think this may be an easier way to download and install Oh My Posh:
