[14:31:41] jmjl esjay: what specific version of cloudbot do you use? (I read the readme and cloudbotirc/cloudbot is unmantained, and there are two forks
[14:32:54] jmjl esjay: Ignore that last message, the 'other' cloudbot forks one of them points to TottalyNotRobots/CloudBot (indirectly)
[19:20:37] jmjl I'm thinking of making a little dnsbl that would add any host that gets caught in the sshd fail2ban rule on some of my boxes, then it would internally do a query to some kind of path, which would register it in this 'dnsbl', and using https://dronebl.org/downloads/checkdnsbl.sh and other things would ban it from other hosts which have this dnsbl idea list added.
[19:20:37] jmjl parameter (a little string you get from us) (it's over TLS), registrations will probably remain in an invite only state, in which the users who are users may invite other users after a certain amount of time after they've been registered. Trusted Users would get the capability to disable invites in the system or for a user, and make certain users be unable to list.
[19:20:37] jmjl There'd be two separate concepts, creating a list entry, which can only be done by Trusted Users, and would normally be done manually. And hitting, which means a spam entry got here, there'd also be triggering, which is like hitting but when you've banned that address at your host. The latter two are meant to be performed automatically and can be done by any registered user,
[19:20:37] jmjl My idea is such a tool would allow being installed on third parties, and they'd report IPs to this list and then they'd collectively list addresses, there'd also be irc support (on this network), it would allow automatic or better listing for hosts in which the owners are Trusted Users, and any request to this service to register a hit would have to send a authentication
[19:20:37] jmjl unless trusted user disables them, (they would start getting 429 responses)
[19:20:37] jmjl automatically. (You're technically able to be on both sides, and it's acceptable, and it won't cause any issues*). *: You might see it weird, but your own messages might not appear if your client doesn't support that (I think most do, you could test with a BNC). Also, it might look weird to see only one user (in certain cases when listing), I'm not sure on how I'll want to
[19:20:37] jmjl Oh, for IRC support as this network would have this DNSBL on the list, we'd have a separate address, which connects you to a program which simulates being a irc server and partially does things as a server, (it doesn't create users here), it'd relay everything to here on certain channels, except certain things, and relay certain things back. Including joining some channel
[19:20:38] jmjl Lol, why am I so exceptional at writing paragraphs and paragraphs of theory, but don't want to code the things
[19:20:38] jmjl tackle that.
[19:20:39] jmjl Note: when I said this network on that blob of text, I mean another network that's not Rizon, but one I along with some others control.
[19:20:40] jmjl Please share your thoughts.
[19:22:44] jmjl ysalamiri: That's a blob of text from a idea I pasted from another network
[19:23:02] jmjl I know weechat does not do weird things, and makes it as if you received a message, but that message's sender is yourself.
[19:27:13] jmjl I also shouldn't just paste those blobs of text but fabricate them for this channel instead.
