[13:28:15] prussian shitty Matrox device on some rack mounted winshit server. I'm guessing it's interfering with how Windows handles graphics, especially for RDP, and even console, settings.
[13:29:01] prussian I'm only desperate because a friend of mine's service is down for some unknown change that happened on their winshit server and this Siemensware software can't open an OGL context.
[13:29:57] prussian disabling/uninstalling it in device manager didn't do shit obviously.
[13:30:15] prussian probably because windows doesn't want you an heroing your display.
[13:30:35] prussian I know on Linux, I can just write 1 to remove on any PCIe device and it gets powered off and fucks off.
[13:33:28] prussian technically the matrox device is using the shitty Windows built-in VESA VGA driver, "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter (low resolution)"
[13:33:56] prussian not that I expect anything by Matrox to be useful for anything other than blitting out a framebuffer, verbatim to some display.
[13:35:02] prussian don't worry about it. I told them to restore from backup, but I guess they don't have a backup far enough and don't know when it broke.
