[21:15:49] phonekait We've been starting to get sausages here from other countries, so I've been a bit curious. Before, it was more of a niche item, but now, a lot of the grocery stores here are getting Irish sausages or German bratwursts.

[21:17:54] phonekait What kind of store? Google shows it as a home goods store and they have it as a meat store

[21:19:58] phonekait Bleh, I don't wanna drive into Manhattan and you can't take furniture easily on the subway (though it has been done)

[21:25:28] phonekait Here in the states, there are some specialty stores that carry meat with a handful of other things.

[21:25:47] phonekait It's not always a general store or a supermarket.

[21:27:37] phonekait I call some the meat store as it's not always prepared on site or a sister site.

[21:28:48] phonekait The store I worked in while in college/uni had food prepared in another store and driven to our store

[21:29:28] phonekait They'd have them portioned out so all we'd have to do is slap stickers on and put them on the shelves

[21:30:23] phonekait They did this with meat too. We'd have distributors bring meats for our "butchers" to cut up and put out.

[21:30:39] phonekait I was too scared to go in the meat department with their grinders.

[21:31:34] phonekait I worked in an upscale grocery store as one of their main bookkeepers.

[21:31:47] phonekait I also helped out in produce on occasion as well as in the bakery.

[21:32:31] phonekait I was one of the few people cross trained in most departments in the store.

[21:40:22] phonekait K, back to ordering more Preciouses for my kiddos.

[21:42:42] phonekait A couple of them like those plastic balls with bells inside

[21:42:58] phonekait Maple carries one around in his teeth sometimes.

[21:48:47] phonekait It's been 18 years and I'm still on irc.

[21:50:21] phonekait Most weeks, you won't see me talking here as much as my current job keeps me very busy. I'm the lead biller for a repair company that does chassis/trucks/RVs/big shit. We do a lot of road service and tows.

[21:51:44] phonekait I also am a backup for dispatch on occasion. Which is why I'm on this weekend. I got one guy who has something tomorrow, and my other guy that normally does Sundays needs to leave early for Passover seder.

[21:52:05] phonekait I took yesterday and today off as I'm on from Saturday until next Friday.
