[19:27:13] MatCat LED's are about 5x more effecient then halogen, the halogens in my truck now use 60W per bulb, the LED's I am getting use 30W per bulb, so half the actual power draw, BUT we have to x5 that to get equivlent output, so 30w LED is equal to 150W of halogen

[19:27:34] MatCat this is why LED lights for your house for example always advertise as EQUIVLENT instead of their actual power

[19:27:59] MatCat so a 60W equivlent led bulb, really means its about 12watts of actual draw

[19:36:39] MatCat depends on the car, as long as your car is a standard bulb style (some cars are full headlight assembly only), then the LED headlights are self contained and just plug in like a bulb

[19:36:52] MatCat though you do have to be careful that the heatsinknig will fit with your mounting bracket

[19:37:33] MatCat though on some cars they have that same power draw sense crap on headlights too, if your cars happens to be that (far less common then with blinkers), then you also would need to add a load resistor, but thats not usually required on most cars

[19:39:38] MatCat although I recently realized mine isn't as bad as others to be honest, my dash is setup where the majority of it pops free not even needing tools, then the instrument cluster is just a few screws to get to it
