[17:24:00] KnownSyntax Shared comments real time
[17:24:20] KnownSyntax Like they watch it all together, have some sort of comments that are tied together so they can talk about things as they happen
[17:24:33] KnownSyntax Or is this different than your YouTube shared site?
[17:24:37] KnownSyntax Thank you
[17:24:58] KnownSyntax Oh lmao ignore my comment
[17:25:16] KnownSyntax I thought sharey was that YouTube shared/watch in real time site you were working on
[17:25:17] KnownSyntax Yeah
[17:26:12] KnownSyntax lol I need to move a few of my sites over to my home server now that it’s fully setup and legit too so I don’t blame you. All I need left is to find a reasonable GPU that can fit and handle no fans blowing on it while transcoding
[17:26:18] KnownSyntax Fair enough lol
[17:27:43] KnownSyntax + for privacy price
[17:27:45] KnownSyntax *piece
[17:27:55] KnownSyntax Kinda what Apple does now when you share photos or images with third party apps
[17:28:17] KnownSyntax They can either strip all of the metadata or replace it with generic general stuff within your region
[17:28:29] KnownSyntax Ah yeah rip
[17:28:46] KnownSyntax Yeah have a toggle for it
[17:29:21] KnownSyntax I almost wonder if there is a CSAM API you can share the file’s data with and it if can check if it’s CSAM or not tbh
[17:29:34] KnownSyntax I.e. encrypt the file a certain way, share its hash.
[17:29:45] KnownSyntax Feel like that is how Apple does it, I can’t remember their requirements tbh
[17:30:15] KnownSyntax I’m sure the APIs would be free tbh
[17:30:24] KnownSyntax But probably rate limited for sure
[17:32:29] KnownSyntax have you tried the MEGA approach with handling duplicate files?
[17:32:51] KnownSyntax It’s smart and somewhat easy, but kinda burns CPU time for hashing
[17:33:19] KnownSyntax like if user A uploads file A, user B uploads file B, they have a unique link but underneath it points to the same file
[17:33:47] KnownSyntax Exactly ^
[17:33:52] KnownSyntax Avoids wasted disk space
[17:34:07] KnownSyntax Would highly recommend implementing that piece first, before metadata tbh
[17:34:28] KnownSyntax Well that’s what I mean, it’s easy, but you burn a lil CPU dependent on how many files are uploading and uploaded
[17:34:43] KnownSyntax It’s not like CPU intensive at all
[17:35:08] KnownSyntax I would do checksum before API, so you don’t burn disk space
[17:35:56] KnownSyntax Makes it so you avoid a bad actor uploading a ton of duplicate files and consuming space through an API or manually.
[17:36:24] KnownSyntax Sledge: if you like Megan Fox being a AI sexy robot, Subservience
[17:37:13] KnownSyntax Jennifer’s Body was her last movie before all of the plastic
[17:37:41] KnownSyntax lol
[17:38:00] KnownSyntax She looks like a legit robot now, fit the movie perfectly
[18:01:06] KnownSyntax Dope, now to try and max this out for uploading streams lol https://usercontent.irccloud-cdn.com/file/eGj2cHNA/IMG_1439.PNG
[18:04:48] KnownSyntax Should be easy to implement, one of those things to save you in the long run for sure
