[18:41:01] Dr_DICK It's a combination of issues, one being my Dad keeps the router high up in the closet on a shelf against a wall so the signal can get spotty, I was on the 5ghz band and I think we need to adjust the signal because it's been a hot minute since we've done an interference check, and I had some issues last night that of course popped off minutes before that started happening.

[18:43:09] Dr_DICK I'm on the 2.4ghz band rn which is "stable" enough for IRC but streaming is painful and it's pointless to play anything multiplayer on either network because I'll just drop. But it doesn't affect Dad so it can't be anything with the router it must be an issue with my computer despite having the same issue with multiple others on multiple other devices

[18:45:51] Dr_DICK I hate it, especially across town I got a friend that works for a local ISP and their WiFi is cracked out and reliable af, but my family is too stubborn to switch over.

[18:47:07] Dr_DICK When I bought my computer from them I downloaded some games while I was there to test shit out and steam was pulling something like +120Mb/s and the most I get at home on a good day is 23
