[20:25:11] yb People can be mean and not talk to you in person. Some men don't see anyone for weeks at a time.

[20:28:36] yb She was interested in what I was learning so I taught her some things, which was particularly unique.

[20:30:26] yb Other times she'd like to play videogames and I don't like to play by myself.

[20:30:43] yb After a while she got so good I went back to IRC x)

[20:31:43] yb I ran out of money and she had to work. That pretty much ruined everything.

[20:32:58] yb No, but the lack of money does cause unhappiness.

[20:34:20] yb I wanted her to learn life skills and get to know the town but guys wouldn't stop flirting with her.

[20:35:07] yb She should have worked from home or men should be better...or both.

[20:37:09] yb I went to music festivals and art shows looking for tech talent; people to code with and advance my career, earn more money, foster prosperity--No one ever found me.

[20:40:11] yb I thought about starting a company where every US citizen is required to own one share of stock before getting started, otherwise I don't want to do it.

[20:42:37] yb Capitalism shouldn't be about luck.

[20:42:58] yb Not where I'm going with it.

[20:44:01] yb You know who's good at accounting? Mexico.

[20:45:43] yb I can't stand ego. I wish people would be more selfish.

[20:47:01] yb Selfish enough to respect their elders and employers.

[20:47:37] yb Selfishness and egoism don't translate properly to Spanish.

[20:49:10] yb You need to know how to recognize others and when to choose to benefit yourself, and, most challenging, how to choose others to benefit them AND you.

[21:08:06] yb Along these same lines, I'm having trouble finding anyone who will code C with me in the last 20 years.

[21:08:50] yb I get robbed everywhere I go and no matter what I do, like I did something in another life to deserve this.

[21:12:38] yb I was warned about exploits in GTK 20 years ago when I was 16. Somehow the same exploitable code is in the Debian apt repository.

[21:13:50] yb Nobody ever told me 20 years ago "Hey, you should get gold"

[21:14:25] yb Nobody ever says "Hey, you should buy this stock because they're in there being rude about you."

[21:22:55] yb Profit is one of those things that gets cancer with egoism.

[21:24:01] yb Think about this: If you got bitcoin and gold and lost money, what would that hurt if you worked for higher wages? That's selfish.

[21:26:50] yb You get more later for your investment now, like reading a book or getting a cert or learning from a master.
