[16:38:36] antithesis I cannot count on my fingers the number of times I've had to reinstall linSUCKS. Which isn't true for wangblows, that was only a handful of times.

[16:45:47] antithesis An OS is a platform for running other applications. Binbows at least is functional at that.

[16:47:23] antithesis Yes, tablets are good devices because you can put them vertically unlike a laptop screen so you aren't carrying unnecessary weight. An 8" screen is enough if you put it vertically while with laptops you need like 13".

[16:48:17] antithesis The last good laptops with 4:3 screens were the Thinkpad X60 and an equivalent of the other series. After that they joined the widescreen hype as if everyone is watching videos all day.

[16:49:15] antithesis Anyway, if you don't want to continuously reinstall linSUCKS, I recommend Slackware but you know that.

[16:52:19] antithesis Also tablets have better security because they properly implement app isolation. Although usually the bootloader isn't open so you're stuck with a certain version of Android (planned obsolescence). At least crapple is better with providing long-term support for their devices.

[16:53:51] antithesis Android is being locked / cucked down so that make sit less attractive to buy a tablet. Bad for freedom. But the form factor is okay.
