[16:28:40] lmat When I run fuseiso <isofile> <directory>; I get "init: wrong standard identifier in volume descriptor 0, skipping.." (for descriptors [0,17]). I got this ISO from two different sources, one from another channel on this IRC server. Any ideas how I can mount and use the ISO?
[16:38:59] lmat Shahid: Thanks for the tip! 7z extracted it. So weird that fuse would barf where 7z succeeded...I guess 7z is a little less picky!
[16:45:28] lmat Shahid: Now I get to decide if I want to sudo ./setup.sh;
[16:45:53] lmat I'm thinking, "Hmm...what all would I lose if I had to remove everything on the hard drive and start over...?"
[16:46:10] lmat Shahid: Factorio installer.
[16:47:19] lmat Shahid: I was thinking of running it in a docker container just to see how much grief it causes, and if everything looks okay, run it on my machine...
[16:52:38] lmat If things go sideways, can I notify the host (IRC nick [EWG]GemuPC) to take it off the list of offerings or something?
[18:18:27] lmat bipul: HI!
[18:25:14] lmat I got a game ISO from another channel on this IRC server. The filename ends with ...I_KnoW.tar. I think that means "I_KnoW" is the packager. What I'm wondering is if I can get a checksum from the packager to make sure I have a good package?
[18:47:46] lmat <3
[18:48:34] lmat Anubis169: Oh yes. I got the table of contents (tar tf <file>.tar) and extracted (tar xf <file>.tar) to get to the ISO.
[18:50:18] lmat Anubis169: Thanks for the tips!
[19:14:01] lmat Anubis169: I don't have anything else. I got a tar and inside the tar is an ISO. that's all :'(
[19:15:51] lmat Anubis169: Oh wait, it looks like there is a *.nfo file in the ISO image ^_^
[19:17:44] lmat Yeah. Lots of ASCII Art, but I guess my font doesn't have those glyphs ^_^
[19:18:45] lmat No URLs to visit, no check sums. A bit of advice I guess, "have u problem with our rlses - skip it". Looks like they don't welcome support requests ^_^
[19:23:22] lmat Anubis169: totally, dude, there are at least two ways: mount with loopback type and fuseiso <3 Dude, I've been using GNU/Linux for like 20 years ;-)
[19:23:57] lmat End3r: There's a setup.sh that I was scared of running ^_^ I ran it without sudo and it claims to have worked. That eases many of my worries!
[19:24:03] lmat Anubis169: totally, and you're SUPER helpful, thanks!
