[01:54:23] g0frr hello everyone
[01:54:32] g0frr it's a beautiful afternoon. I hope you're all enjoying the start of the weekend.
[01:56:00] g0frr !bang
[01:56:04] g0frr wait
[01:59:01] g0frr that "too good that we can't hire you" happened to me with a service desk position
[01:59:05] g0frr feels bad :(
[02:00:13] g0frr I think a lot of it might be politics. If they think you're overqualified you may be a threat to the hiring manager.
[02:04:19] g0frr what percentage of companies would have a NOC
[02:04:25] g0frr is that very common?
[02:05:18] g0frr I figure large data center companies would have NOCs
[02:05:54] g0frr but out of the entire pool of potential companies for which to apply, what percentage of those are large enough to have a noce
[02:06:18] g0frr lol
[02:38:19] g0frr ~bang
[02:50:41] g0frr ComputerTech, are you a real computer tech
[02:50:55] g0frr arent we all computer techs
[02:51:04] g0frr lol
[02:53:38] g0frr the answer is use linux
[02:53:43] g0frr sorry idk what the question was
[02:53:55] g0frr depends, Fedora for new hardware, debian for server
[02:54:01] g0frr suse for gaming
[02:54:45] g0frr vscodium for text editing. I try to stay away from microsoft
[02:54:54] g0frr but I like vscodium
[02:55:17] g0frr a friend keeps telling me to use neovim
[02:55:39] g0frr do you all program in neovim or just use it as a text editor
[02:56:22] g0frr I've only ever used vscodium and then had a silly phase where I only wanted to use emacs
[02:56:34] g0frr that was my free software extremism phase
[02:57:11] g0frr i don't feel comfortable enough with my coding that I want to experiment with other environments other than vscodium
[02:57:35] g0frr and I play a lot with microcontrollers. It's nice to have a single text editor that is easy to use and can use plugins for embedded stuff
[02:57:49] g0frr Dr_DICK, lol
[02:58:14] g0frr i've never heard of people discussing "ssh clients" I only ever used openssh
[02:58:37] g0frr yea in pws
[02:58:49] g0frr it comes with something in powershell not sure if its openssh
[02:59:50] g0frr ah i see
[03:00:21] g0frr gotta go now might be back later
