[16:48:50] ski but "adding" can be done in a way which preserves sortedness

[16:51:01] ski ("insertion sort" would be sorting some collection, by successively adding one element from it at a time, to a list that is kept in sorted order. that's the closest to "adding/removing things is sorting" you'd get, i think)
