[09:48:10] Valware is the Death Wish to caffeine what the Ghost Pepper is to spice?
[09:49:08] Valware and ghost pepper claims is the spiciest pepper
[09:49:48] Valware Ice` I said gross not grosse
[09:49:54] Valware gross means yuck, not large

[09:55:35] Valware even thousands!
[09:55:39] Valware or millions!
[09:56:20] Valware if I ever sue someone, I want to sue them for like free wifi or something instead of money
[09:56:43] Valware eskimo, ah yes, because this place has so much water
[09:56:45] Valware wait
[09:57:03] Valware you came HERE because you're dehydrated?

[10:00:43] Valware =]
[10:00:48] Valware nice
[10:01:06] Valware yes lol
[10:01:34] Valware I would make my own IRCd but I'm still too smitten with unrealircd
[10:01:38] Valware one day it will be mine >:)
[10:02:11] Valware I've never done node
[10:02:15] Valware can you typescript with node?
[10:02:16] Valware lol
[10:02:22] Valware lol
[10:02:33] Valware I mean can it be done? do you know XD
[10:02:53] Valware oh yeh apparently you can
[10:02:58] Valware that's pretty cool
[10:03:04] Valware is it open source your ircd eskimo?
[10:03:49] Valware does it support messagetags?
[10:04:10] Valware nice ;o
[10:04:52] Valware :>
[10:05:11] Valware can I talk with you
[10:05:12] Valware about that
[10:05:19] Valware and encourage you to do something
[10:05:31] Valware so what I wanna encourage you to do
[10:05:37] Valware is take those NickServ and ChanServ commands
[10:05:46] Valware and make them ALSO server commands
[10:05:57] Valware which also respond with server responses using Standard Replies
[10:06:10] Valware like let me show an example wait
[10:06:16] Valware because GUI stuff brooo
[10:06:31] Valware lol
[10:09:05] Valware [11:07:57] -> *nickserv* identify
[10:09:06] Valware [11:07:58] -NickServ- Syntax: /IDENTIFY <account> <password> (INVALID_PARAMS: *)
[10:09:06] Valware [11:08:04] -> *identify*
[10:09:06] Valware [11:08:04] * FAIL: Syntax [IDENTIFY] [Code: INVALID_PARAMS] [*]
[10:09:17] Valware well my rendering isn't great
[10:09:18] Valware but
[10:09:49] Valware well think about it
[10:10:10] Valware nickserv chanserv etc exists because the ircd didn't wanna put stuff into the ircd
[10:10:22] Valware and people wanted account and channel registration and management
[10:10:39] Valware so putting it into the ircd would just mean putting it into the ircd
[10:10:57] Valware but you can route it so that you have two routes to get there
[10:11:02] Valware classic way through services
[10:11:02] Valware @bef
[10:11:08] Valware !reload
[10:12:07] Valware and a more modern and streamlined version would be to do things using server commands where the server can reply with Standard Replies which gives such a bigger amount of things you can do
[10:13:23] Valware also messaging a bot to carry out account and channel management relation functionality has been the default for ages, but if it's gonna be built into the server, I still don't see why you can't at least, well, build it into the server ;) and have all the benefits that come with it
[10:13:48] Valware I mean I thought this about ergo
[10:14:07] Valware and the reason I want to encourage YOU to do this is because that's what I'm doing and I am trying to set an example
[10:14:10] Valware :>
[10:15:11] Valware I made the commands in the server and then made it so you can spawn bots and assign those commands to them and have some special routing for replies
[10:15:53] Valware so instead of having "ajoin" in NickServ and having /ajoin as an ircd alias pointed at /msg nickserv ajoin
[10:16:17] Valware it has "ajoin" in the server and has a "/msg nickserv ajoin" alias pointed at "/ajoin"
[10:16:21] Valware D:
[10:16:38] Valware like because obviously people will still wanna message nickserv
[10:17:58] Valware but eskimo eskibro you have a client and I'm sure you already have thought all about how things could be better streamlined from services maybe? how much better things could look if you could pass certain flags of information and such along with the response in a way that wasn't messy or awkward-to-parse
[10:18:51] Valware I'm not saying don't build services into your ircd, because of course many people would expect nickserv/chanserv
[10:19:03] Valware but I just want to encourage you to unlock your full potential here
[10:19:56] Valware services CAN respond in a much more informative way just for clients that support it
[10:20:55] Valware btw great work making an ircd
[10:23:06] Valware Standard Replies is a better framework for replying to clients than pseudoclient notices and you can make your client work with it especially
[10:23:16] Valware I mean you can do both
[10:23:54] Valware who's Dan
[10:24:14] Valware oh who made the spec
[10:24:33] Valware okay I understand that, so if you don't like him then it would be hilarious to use his spec to make your shit better
[10:24:41] Valware =]
[10:24:51] Valware not that your shit is shit
[10:24:52] Valware but
[10:26:00] Valware it's just a really good idea for making a powerful client->account/channel management interaction
[10:26:28] Valware more people will pay
[10:26:49] Valware meh
[10:26:59] Valware well
[10:27:02] Valware I'm happy for you either way =]
[10:27:38] Valware I willll
[10:28:38] Valware what are you allowed
[10:29:33] Valware gosh I bet you're so hungry you'd stop at the nearest taco bell on the way back jk
[10:29:41] Valware gas station sandwich jk
[10:30:58] Valware glad you're alive though food poisoning is scary
[10:31:16] Valware that's gross
[10:31:26] Valware I think in pictures
[10:31:29] Valware what kind of phrase is that XD
[10:31:48] Valware human caterpillary kinda pictures going on now ;(
[10:31:57] Valware lol
[10:32:12] Valware laughing still
[10:32:29] Valware I need to hug my dog
[10:32:32] Valware hug your dog
[10:33:37] Valware Mikoolo got his can of [REDACTED]
[10:34:05] Valware hahaha fluffy
[10:34:18] Valware esjay ;D
[10:34:56] Valware oh
[10:34:59] Valware that was supposed to be
[10:35:05] Valware a foot stomping gif
[10:35:21] Valware there it is
[10:35:49] Valware ;D
[10:35:57] Valware not really foot stomp
[10:36:24] Valware Mikoolo what flavor?
[10:37:07] Valware I think whenever any country puts the name of their country before the word lemonade, it means beer right
[10:37:45] Valware or some country
[10:38:48] Valware I just found out Long Island is not an island
[10:38:57] Valware it's an extention of mainland!
[10:39:42] Valware anyway stuff to do
[10:39:46] Valware back in a while
[15:52:38] Valware aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa but with aaa
[15:54:07] Valware hey
[15:54:09] Valware how's it going?
[15:54:11] Valware get shit sorted?
[15:54:14] Valware happy monday?
[15:54:49] Valware hooray for happier \o/
[15:55:05] Valware it's like an e-beer but more expensive
[15:56:10] Valware yeah why the fuck do phones need such high-powered cameras in them?
[15:56:44] Valware who thought "ahh I know what people enjoy doing while they call their friends, taking zoomed-in images of the frickin moon"
[15:57:07] Valware I just want a high tech phone without having to pay for the camera which I never use
[15:57:21] Valware that's like 80% of the cost of the phone, the camera
[15:57:31] Valware and I've never needed to zoom in to the moon, why can I do that on my phone
[15:57:37] Valware who needs to zoom in that far?
[15:57:40] Valware nobody, that's who
[15:57:46] Valware and if they do, they should probably just go and buy a camera
[15:58:16] Valware ouch too close
[15:58:20] Valware you bumped my head
[15:58:56] Valware but nah for real, there's a very tall building near me and anybody could be looking at me in HD from that building using their goddamn phone
[15:59:20] Valware there's really no need for cameras to be that good in a mobile telephonic communications device
[16:00:57] Valware I bet cobol doesn't even know what you are, Mikoolo
[16:01:04] Valware unless there's somehow a cobol AI which...
[16:01:08] Valware I somehow doubt
[16:03:17] Valware .t ta mingbai ma
[16:03:35] Valware .t oe noe
[16:03:42] Valware .t lul
[16:05:39] Valware ComputerTech, give me free weed
[16:05:53] Valware is it free?
[16:06:12] Valware I'm 384 months old
[16:06:43] Valware bruh all the fat people I know keep dying
[16:07:40] Valware I used to know this person who was all "fat positivity" and stuff and then she died before she was 35 @_@
[16:08:16] Valware there was this young guy (I say young, he was in his 40s) who died from being fat, bruh
[16:08:28] Valware that's too young to duy
[16:08:30] Valware die*
[16:09:09] Valware I mean I think being fat can be a byproduct of being unhealthy but who knows, there's some reasons and stuff, idk
[16:09:19] Valware it's just sad like when all these people are dying way before they're supposed to
[16:09:24] Valware and they're good friendly people too
[16:09:47] Valware but they're all like "I'm okay with being fat" but then they die
[16:09:58] Valware like I bet you'd not be okay with it if you knew how young you gonna die
[16:11:20] Valware also there are people who are like "You're fat, that's unhealthy, you're gross and people should stop saying you're beautiful because it's a lie" and such, those people are assholes and it's well-known eating can be addictive escapism from negative emotion, so that's not helpful
[16:12:14] Valware but then those people who glorify being fat as if it's a harmless choice which people should be more accepting of is... well "people being accepting of" is not the point, you gonna die young fam :(
[16:13:34] Valware ComputatorTech

[21:07:44] Valware you little...........
[21:07:45] Valware you
[21:10:59] Valware changing how I think about shit n shit
[21:12:01] Valware first I was like "why did I talk about $thing, nobody finds $thing interesting as me, of course they're gonna be bored when I talk about $thing", after people are visibly bored at me talking about $thing
[21:12:24] Valware now my head goes "well at least esjay would listen about $thing"
[21:12:29] Valware :(
[21:12:50] Valware I see what you're doing
[21:13:11] Valware you're sticking yourself in my mind making you more and more important by saying things that make me feel important to you
[21:13:18] Valware aaaaaaaa I feel somewhat important stop D:
[21:13:32] Valware it's weird okay
[21:17:39] Valware it seems like
[21:18:12] Valware clever inserting the self into my mind at certain points which feel designed to remember to appreciate esjay
[21:18:36] Valware like when she's not there and I'm doing stuff completely unrelated
[21:18:46] Valware okay okay this was my train of thought
[21:19:02] Valware fool: it's not a problem when the person has enough interest, like Top Gear
[21:19:11] Valware I have 0 interest in cars, but their interest makes the show interesting
[21:19:12] Valware sort of
[21:19:24] Valware if you talk passionately about your passion, it's good to hear from my perspective
[21:20:54] Valware I am just a simple IRC nerd
[21:21:04] Valware why is it so easy to bore people on IRC talking about IRC :(
[21:21:35] Valware I'm making things I'm pretty sure nobody has made on IRC before
[21:21:43] Valware and it boggles my mind how it's not been made on IRC yet
[21:21:59] Valware like server-side private-message automatic language translation
[21:22:18] Valware oops I nearly did it again
[21:22:27] Valware anyway :(
[21:22:30] Valware fool what's your passion?
[21:23:23] Valware glad you have variety
[21:23:43] Valware like how?
[21:24:40] Valware what was your most recent stray fixation
[21:26:10] Valware the language?
[21:26:18] Valware haha nice
[21:26:26] Valware any particular reason?
[21:27:18] Valware I'm making a youtube video
[21:28:43] Valware are you autistic
[21:29:19] Valware one thing I find (being autistic) is when you see something, it sparks your interest, and the general obsessive feeling is "I have to understand it before I die or I'll die unhappy"
[21:29:48] Valware heheh
[21:30:24] Valware you learn languages before?
[21:30:53] Valware well two words
[21:31:04] Valware s p a c e d r e p e t i t i o n
[21:31:36] Valware so don't set it down fully ;p
[21:31:46] Valware try something like Tandem
[21:31:52] Valware well actually maybe not good for ancient greek
[21:32:19] Valware Tandem gets you learning with a partner who speaks your target language, and you speak their target language
[21:32:30] Valware but I don't know how many people gonna list ancient greek as a language they are native in
[21:32:32] Valware =]
[21:32:53] Valware what is a walmart language
[21:33:16] Valware spanish?
[21:33:22] Valware google is not helpful
[21:33:36] Valware what is walmart?
[21:34:11] Valware oh =]
[21:34:29] Valware I think I get it =]
[21:34:35] Valware thx for explaining
[21:35:13] Valware so
[21:35:14] Valware =]
[21:35:15] Valware ...
[21:35:18] Valware do you like IRC? =]
[21:35:19] Valware =]
[21:35:50] Valware do you have a favorite IRCd software?
[21:37:33] Valware cool
[21:37:42] Valware heheh
[21:38:01] Valware fair :D
[21:39:06] Valware yeah but better than the rest
[21:39:14] Valware because when you're sick of it you can disconnect and easily reconnect later
[21:39:22] Valware and people can't leave you shitty messages while you're offline
[21:40:17] Valware yeah... and I guess with the new stuff I'm making, you can leave people true offline messages :/ so I kinda fucked that up for me ahaha
[21:40:31] Valware well those exist, they're just client-side
[21:41:19] Valware there's chat history which is a thing now
[21:41:50] Valware you can view history but you have to join the channel to do that heheh
[21:42:02] Valware otherwise it's a little bit.. some people could take that as "well anyone can spy on the channel"
[21:44:04] Valware ski, got a favorite ircd?
[21:44:12] Valware yeah
[21:44:59] Valware fair =]
[21:46:13] Valware @bef
[21:48:13] Valware someone say ARCH
[21:48:14] Valware 🚨 WEE WOO 🚨 I USE ARCH BTW 🚨 WEE WOO 🚨
[21:48:14] Valware /!\ I USE ARCH BTW /!\
[21:48:19] Valware jk
[21:48:21] Valware I don't use arch
[21:48:37] Valware this is my favorite ircd
[21:51:07] Valware ski, it's got the best features, security, it's got a web admin panel, great documentation, support staff, youtube, third-party module contributors, everything
[21:53:18] Valware ski https://github.com/unrealircd/unrealircd-webpanel it's got a webpanel!
[21:53:24] Valware no other ircd I've seen has a webpanel
[21:53:34] Valware anyway ski
[21:53:42] Valware I actually made that there video that I pasted >.>
[21:53:51] Valware so that's all my favourite stuff there in the video >.>
[21:55:53] Valware at 1:26
[21:55:54] Valware :$
[21:56:31] Valware probably
[21:56:32] Valware ;(
[21:56:35] Valware I maybe pasted it
[21:57:36] Valware still new ish to video editing
[21:58:15] Valware next video is about security-groups and how cool they are and all the cool things you can do with them, you can make some rather dashing custom functionality with security-groups
[22:01:23] Valware a security-group is a way of specifying some aspect of a user and if a user matches then they're in that security group. a security-group can be anything, from an IP or hostmask, account name, cert fingerprint, whether you're using webirc or websockets, whether you're in a specific channel and more
[22:01:59] Valware you can then make settings for those in a security group such as setting what modes that group gets upon connect, or auto-join channels (not that I'd use that one but..)
[22:02:56] Valware it's an OR match for either of those, but you can also reference other security-groups too
[22:03:09] Valware so you can make nested kinda and/or logic
[22:03:28] Valware "and/or" logic
[22:03:47] Valware so you could have a list of cert fingerprints in one security group
[22:03:55] Valware yeahhh
[22:04:06] Valware so like say
[22:04:17] Valware for example sake, you make a security group based on geoip of people from america
[22:04:26] Valware you can then autojoin them to #usa
[22:04:30] Valware or something
[22:04:44] Valware like in there :D
[22:05:43] Valware so you can make a set block just for a security group aaaa
[22:05:45] Valware it's so coool
[22:05:48] Valware you can make it so custom
[22:06:40] Valware also a Mask item uses all of these options too
[22:06:51] Valware and you can use a mask item in loads of places including an oper block
[22:06:59] Valware so you can make an oper block that doesn't need a password
[22:07:43] Valware set { } block is just like general settings. so if you had a set { auto-join "#computertech"; }
[22:07:48] Valware then everyone would join the channel on connect
[22:07:54] Valware just example sake
[22:08:00] Valware there's loads more options than autojoin but
[22:08:31] Valware but then you can make a set <security-group> { } block which is the same thing except specific to a security group
[22:08:52] Valware but yeah you can make an oper block which needs no password which is based on your IP or the fact you're logged into a services account or have a certain certfp
[22:09:13] Valware all in one security-group which can be updated easy peasy
[22:09:54] Valware yeah, the set security-group block overrides settings in the regular set block if the user matched the security group :D
[22:10:08] Valware oh I didn't understand the question then, sorry
[22:10:09] Valware :D
[22:10:48] Valware the first which matches
[22:11:27] Valware gosh =]
[22:11:37] Valware but yeah that's my next video
[22:11:39] Valware security-groups
[22:12:49] Valware oh so, if you have a set security-group block and the user matches, it will always override the general set block, but if more than one security-group matched, it will use only the first security-group which matches
[22:13:15] Valware I mean technically all the security-groups apply to the user but as far as set security-group blocks go ;D
[22:14:39] Valware also there's a thing called Crule
[22:14:46] Valware in that list of matchable items is a "rule" thing
[22:14:49] Valware which is a really cool thing too
[22:15:46] Valware yeah, but things can get really ambiguous because people can match many security-groups by design ;(
[22:15:58] Valware so it's just a bit of a simple solution which works but
[22:16:14] Valware I recently added in has_user_mode() too
[22:16:16] Valware B-)
[22:16:24] Valware oh and away
[22:16:47] Valware so you can REALLY make matching a user or channel or whatever SO DAMN CUSTOMMMM
[22:17:35] Valware you can make negation by prefixing with a !
[22:17:53] Valware has_user_mode('x') && !has_user_mode('y')
[22:19:45] Valware fixed
[22:20:08] Valware thanks for noticing that hahahaa
