[16:31:54] de-facto yes baseband processor of smartphones often uses RTOS like VxWorks and also often includes filesystem drivers for e.g. ext4 so it could access the main partition without the Android Linux even knowing

[16:38:23] de-facto probably almost impossible to remove or replace that, similar to what we have on PCs like Intel Management Engine or AMD Platform Security Processor
