[13:46:08] adrien I have a HP laptop that's nearly 11 years old, but I dont know where to get the repair manual. Am I shit out of luck?

[13:48:19] adrien I tried opening it to replace the aging HDD with an SSD. though it's kind of like a puzzle to get to things

[14:45:22] adrien the serial number is CND5431MG7 if that helps anything.

[14:46:50] adrien the HDD seems to be behind something when i open it, it doesnt have a seperate cover

[14:51:09] adrien I might be able to squeeze some life out of this computer until the HDD dies, but I dont think I'll store anything important on it. I was going to save up for a used thinkpad.

[14:55:24] adrien I dont have a screw driver to open it now. also you cant see much when you take the bottom off.

[14:57:59] adrien I'll never buy anything HP again. I only have this one because the computer was a gift.

[15:01:14] adrien I saw a video about a HP printer being cheaper than it's replacement ink

[15:01:43] adrien i dont understand the logic, wouldnt cost more to manufacture a printer versus a ink cartrige?

[15:02:36] adrien though then again, things are pretty cheap to make these days, most of the price you pay at the store is mark up so I guess that explains it.

[15:04:22] adrien they could put a clown sticker on the box to brighten everyones day

[15:06:21] adrien I find most pc repair places dont know what they're doing

[15:06:32] adrien also refuse to fix things that are really old

[15:07:05] adrien I had a netbook that wouldnt be that hard to fix and they told me it wasnt worth fixing and refused, even though i knew how to make it usable, it was still usable with linux
