[16:08:05] ~ daniel I work on the domains production engineering team of GoDaddy as a site reliability engineer. We are supporting other teams in the domains organization. Lately we've been automating things like crazy with Ansible. We are still onboarding teams to the new processes and still figuring out the tasks they need done.

[16:08:50] ~ daniel I have been mainly developing toolsets for those teams to manage their own infrastructures with our minimal assistance.

[16:09:17] ~ daniel I like this job. I never get bored.

[16:10:09] ~ daniel I mean at this point we are very understaffed too.

[16:10:56] ~ daniel Our team has 4 people, not including my manager who has been taking tasks himself. We should be at around 7. We have 1 open req, and a backfill position opening up. But we don't get many good candidates applying, and the one guy we moved to another interview ghosted us so far.

[16:14:48] ~ daniel I'm going to be meeting with the other team leads soon to figure out what other tasks they need our support in. We are also working to add more teams under our support.
