[14:37:31] ski/rizon hence you sometimes see people writing "ao" for "å", "ae" for "ä" (so it's similar to "æ"), "oe" for "ö" (similar to "œ"). i think also "ue" for "ü"

[14:38:57] ski/rizon there's a joke about "Raaaaaal", being "Rååål", or "Råå-ål". "Råå" is a place, and "ål" is "eel"
