[15:05:56] @ ski/rizon la la la
[15:10:15] @ ski/rizon hello Piba
[15:10:20] @ ski/rizon how're ya ?
[15:17:42] @ ski/rizon a bit slow, recently woke up
[15:18:03] @ ski/rizon .. should probably get something to drink, as well
[15:39:21] @ ski/rizon well <https://twitter.com/github/status/1580826746294652929> .. i don't really look at Twitter stuff, unless someone happens to send a link re some particular topic, which i think might be worthwhile/interesting to at least take a glance at
[15:40:40] @ ski/rizon basically : users can report that something didn't work as they expected, and they think it's a bug/mistake (although often they can also confuse this with asking for a new feature or change of existing (intended) features)
[15:41:19] @ ski/rizon and there's now this bot which will automatically "close" (declare the issue as "fixed"), in case noone (or just the reporting user ?) replies within a small period of time
[15:42:47] @ ski/rizon and people are upset about this auto-bot-closing of issues/bugs, and some developers agree, while others disagree and think this is a reasonable (if not perfect) way to deal with loads of issue reports, many of whom the reporting user never comes back to, to report if an attempted fix by developers did help or not
[15:46:03] @ ski/rizon Piba ^
[15:48:05] @ ski/rizon yea
[15:48:40] @ ski/rizon it's understandable that if you've got hundreds of old issues lying around, that you'd feel tempted to cull the ones where the reporting user isn't responding to questions
[15:49:32] @ ski/rizon but having just one week (for the reporting user) to respond to the bot threatening to close, also feels oneorous
[15:50:06] @ ski/rizon .. and i could well see some issues don't get fixed for months or years, but still being valid, and the devs eventually coming back to it. so auto-closing doesn't seem to help there
[15:50:32] @ ski/rizon and it's annoying to have to spam the issue with replies just to keep the bot from closing
[15:50:58] @ ski/rizon "IG" ?
[15:51:11] @ ski/rizon ah
[15:51:35] @ ski/rizon oh, when users report images (and perhaps videos and text messages ?)
[15:51:51] @ ski/rizon that .. seems like a bit of overkill
[15:54:12] @ ski/rizon IG is perfect ?
[15:54:38] @ ski/rizon yea, i can sympathize with the pain for small businesses
[15:56:34] @ ski/rizon (i understand Twitter is unfortunately too often full of frustration, anger, trolling, fake bot replies, &c. .. i suspect part of the problem is misdesigns in how it's structured (e.g. not much of any "local community" sense, anyone can reply to anyone, so it can seem like everybody is dogpiling on you, just because a small minority of users get angry at you and tell each other about it))
[15:56:58] @ ski/rizon (oh, and obviously the message length, and undoubtedly also other issues)
[15:57:43] @ ski/rizon Piba : ideal, apart form such reporting issues causing their accuont to be shut down, possibly by bot, without much look into the problem ?
[15:59:12] @ ski/rizon well, i've also heard of outsourcing to other countries, where the people there doesn't always properly understand the subtleties of communication between the people they're policing, and may be trigger happy with in-jokes, bantering, &c.
[16:00:20] @ ski/rizon (of course, that could easily also happen in the sme country or culture, because of different subcultures, and different expectations in different kinds of communities (more professional, more playful, &c.))
[16:02:32] @ ski/rizon sounds nice :)
[16:03:27] @ ski/rizon "But in the meantime gets shut down or suspend it" -- does seem to run contrary to the idea "innocent until proven guilty"
[16:04:27] @ ski/rizon (well, there's the "reasonable suspicion", warranting further investigations .. but there ought to be some kind of proportionality, to avoid people trolling / acting in bad faith, wrt reporting)
[20:20:00] @ ski/rizon meonjour, sushi-chan
[20:22:04] @ ski/rizon well, cat version :b
[20:37:52] @ ski/rizon ah, right :)
[21:12:38] @ ski/rizon sushi-chan : would the beard cover the face ?
[21:18:18] @ ski/rizon hm, reminds me of some old film clip of someone sitting at a desk, doing stuff
[21:18:32] @ ski/rizon then things which they put away falls upwards, to the ceiling
[21:18:48] @ ski/rizon turned out they filmed the scene upside-down
