[03:55:14] NiniGeo2/rizon :]
[03:55:16] NiniGeo2/rizon Woooooooo
[03:55:19] NiniGeo2/rizon Hihi ski
[04:03:53] NiniGeo2/rizon Japan is currently constructing a maglev train line~
[04:05:36] NiniGeo2/rizon :o
[04:05:39] NiniGeo2/rizon That sounds like an obscure term!
[04:06:09] NiniGeo2/rizon Ah
[04:06:26] NiniGeo2/rizon :3
[04:06:44] NiniGeo2/rizon I'm guessing that's where terms like "fortnite" came from to describe a period of two weeks.
[04:09:10] NiniGeo2/rizon Hihi Kuro-chans! ^_____^/
[04:09:19] NiniGeo2/rizon Woooo sprites!
[04:11:16] NiniGeo2/rizon Sanskrit is interesting - it's suuuuuuuuuuuuper old!
[04:30:46] NiniGeo2/rizon I like black cherry soda.
[04:31:02] NiniGeo2/rizon Woooooooo~
[04:31:17] NiniGeo2/rizon :P
[04:37:39] NiniGeo2/rizon Woah
[04:37:40] NiniGeo2/rizon Two slices!
[04:53:42] NiniGeo2/rizon Mmhmm, Kuro-chans has gotta keep his game size small!
[04:53:58] NiniGeo2/rizon :]
[05:00:10] NiniGeo2/rizon Woah. That was a brave spider.
[05:00:57] NiniGeo2/rizon xD!
[05:01:00] NiniGeo2/rizon It's scary that it's been so long?
[05:01:29] NiniGeo2/rizon Oooooh, O.G. Kuro-chan
[05:02:07] NiniGeo2/rizon D:
[05:05:28] NiniGeo2/rizon Well actually if you're working at the C or assembly level there's plenty of opportunities to make small games fit in under 128KB.
[05:06:09] NiniGeo2/rizon Yes Kuro-chan is the coolest! :)
[05:07:29] NiniGeo2/rizon ^_______^
[05:08:55] NiniGeo2/rizon Oooooh I've never had a saffron pancake. That looks tasty though!
[05:11:14] NiniGeo2/rizon It's so yellow!
[05:11:45] NiniGeo2/rizon Woah.
[05:13:21] NiniGeo2/rizon Oooooh I've known lotsa videogame file formats that were based on that scheme of doing a four-CC code, then a chunk size, then chunk data.
[05:14:03] NiniGeo2/rizon It's a really good scheme for games up until probably the era of SSD's, where you want to have much larger chunk sizes and asynchronous reads. The IFF scheme relies on having to read every previous chunk in order to get to a later one.
[05:17:52] NiniGeo2/rizon Yes that's nice for compatability ski.
[05:18:16] NiniGeo2/rizon Lots of times when folks are reverse-engineering games they can start by decoding just the chunks that they know about, and skip the other ones and still properly parse the whole file :)
[05:20:04] NiniGeo2/rizon Hmmmm, can you gzip compress it afterwards to squeeze some extra bytes out of it?
[05:22:49] NiniGeo2/rizon Woah, that's neat ski!
[05:23:32] NiniGeo2/rizon Oooooh they do bank-switching too.
[05:24:59] NiniGeo2/rizon Some days you just gotta wiggle a little.
[05:25:13] NiniGeo2/rizon :P
[05:28:39] NiniGeo2/rizon I like Wolfram's research into cellular automata.
[05:28:45] NiniGeo2/rizon Oh nice ski! :)
[05:28:56] NiniGeo2/rizon o:
[05:29:00] NiniGeo2/rizon That sounds complicated!
[05:30:57] NiniGeo2/rizon Yep superkuh that's his rule 110 on the cover I think.
[05:31:22] NiniGeo2/rizon But you'd be able to save it if you used that, right?
[05:35:01] NiniGeo2/rizon Oooooh that's what older C compiler had to do in order to compile whole programs. They had to dump out individual compilation units to disk one at a time!
[05:35:59] NiniGeo2/rizon Wew!
[05:36:01] NiniGeo2/rizon That's vintage :)
[05:38:37] NiniGeo2/rizon Dang everybody in here is a smartie.
[05:39:37] NiniGeo2/rizon Wew MatCat that's cool.
[05:39:47] NiniGeo2/rizon What did you use to simulate that?
[05:41:07] NiniGeo2/rizon Oooooh neat :)
[05:42:00] NiniGeo2/rizon Wew
[05:44:26] NiniGeo2/rizon Cheese is very tasty.
[05:59:46] NiniGeo2/rizon That sounds cool ski :3
[05:59:50] NiniGeo2/rizon I've gotta head off to bed now though!
[06:00:22] NiniGeo2/rizon G'night all!
[06:00:50] NiniGeo2/rizon ^_____^/
