[01:07:41] Compy/rizon Heya ComputerTech, wez, Ahsoka
[01:08:10] Compy/rizon Meh, fucking with some Go code, debating having a beer. Otherwise doing good! Yourself?
[01:12:23] Compy/rizon ComputerTech: Ooh, what'd you find so far with GDB?
[01:12:36] Compy/rizon wez: I actually like it. The ease of use vs performance is great.
[01:12:46] Compy/rizon and the standard library has a TON of functionality.
[01:13:16] Compy/rizon Sure.
[01:15:38] Compy/rizon wez: I'd definitely say its comparable. In a few lines of code, you can create things like APIs that can handle thousands of requests per second, etc. Its great for "network services"
[01:20:29] Compy/rizon ComputerTech: Is there no backtrace for the segfault?
[01:20:56] Compy/rizon (What does bt return?)
[01:23:30] Compy/rizon yeah, bt within the gdb console
[01:25:23] Compy/rizon actually thats a decent stack trace
[01:25:47] Compy/rizon Most likely a null pointer being tossed around
[01:28:32] Compy/rizon That's what it looks like. The core gtk_main() loop is crashing
[01:29:30] Compy/rizon Was hexchat installed via package manager?
[01:29:45] Compy/rizon If so, what version?
[01:29:58] Compy/rizon yeah
[01:33:59] Compy/rizon ComputerTech: Looking at it, I think its a bug in GTK. I'd revert to 22.04 and wait for 23.04 LTS if hexchat is a central part of your usage.
[01:34:51] Compy/rizon That's the thought, yeah
[01:47:17] Compy/rizon ComputerTech: What else caused the hexchat crash aside from ctrl+F?
[20:32:44] Compy/rizon Heya ComputerTech
[20:32:48] Compy/rizon (and all!)
[20:32:59] Compy/rizon Meh, installing Flutter because I need a new punishment
