[00:25:25] ski/rizon math rock ?
[06:11:38] ski/rizon how gaffe
[06:12:12] ski/rizon sipping some tea, eating a banana
[06:13:08] ski/rizon (hm, this tune sounds a bit like a church organ .. perhaps partly because it's being played in a church)
[06:13:24] ski/rizon hm .. not that i noticed
[06:13:51] ski/rizon (no sugar in the tea)
[06:14:28] ski/rizon some black tea with forest fruits flavor
[06:14:42] ski/rizon not the earl, this time
[06:15:20] ski/rizon earl green isn't too bad, either
[06:15:36] ski/rizon heya herald
[06:17:50] ski/rizon (or perhaps i'm confusing you with someone else ?)
[06:19:54] ski/rizon hmhm
[06:23:45] ski/rizon that sounds nice ! :)
[06:24:03] ski/rizon is it a remake ?
[06:24:26] ski/rizon Quest ?
[06:25:21] ski/rizon m-hmm
[06:34:40] ski/rizon hm, i successfully got a complete IRC newbie to install AndroIrc, with some help over IRC
[07:13:19] ski/rizon you forgot "bai"
[07:24:19] ski/rizon moin, ComputerTech
[07:24:25] ski/rizon how's Warsaw ?
[07:39:49] ski/rizon i suppose, KurtGodel
[07:40:26] ski/rizon Mahoney's nice
[07:40:53] ski/rizon (don't think i've heard this one before, though)
[07:41:27] ski/rizon "this track is bonkers" -- doesn't surprise me too much, considering it's Mahoney
[08:18:50] ski/rizon was it reset, recently ?
[08:49:00] ski/rizon that's mother nature for you
[09:18:20] ski/rizon moin
[11:18:15] ski/rizon morgen früh, meine fraulein
[11:22:10] ski/rizon how long've you been watching it ?
[11:24:40] ski/rizon Abbey (i think ?)
[11:25:01] ski/rizon she brought character to it
[11:26:22] ski/rizon wistfully mourning over what's been lost, experiencing the echoes of times past
[11:28:29] ski/rizon hm, Ducky was the older dude, right ?
[11:29:39] ski/rizon mhm, ok
[11:30:32] ski/rizon (i can barely recall how the others looked like, either .. but that's because i can barely visualize at all. i still have a vague image of how Abbey looked like)
[11:31:03] ski/rizon perhaps they used an early version of Hacker Typer
[11:31:53] ski/rizon she was funny, iirc
[11:32:17] ski/rizon and slightly snarky, at times, i think
[11:37:08] ski/rizon (hm, she reminds me of the player character (or rather, the other way around), in the game "The Mortuary Assistant")
[11:37:59] ski/rizon (wouldn't surprise me, if there possibly was some inspiration from her, in the character)
[12:58:49] ski/rizon a barber's knife might be better for that
[12:59:51] ski/rizon oh. okay then
[13:03:28] ski/rizon mew
[13:06:50] ski/rizon hah, i just heard someone say that, the other day :p
[13:07:19] ski/rizon (i suppose it's mostly about shoujo ?)
[13:07:50] ski/rizon well .. sometimes they do. but often, they just look too big
[13:08:22] ski/rizon (and nose barely visible. presumably due to japanese focusing more on eyes, and less on nose, when looking at faces, than westerners do)
[13:09:41] ski/rizon someone suggested that they learned that from Disney
[13:09:49] ski/rizon (and Betty Boop)
[13:11:38] ski/rizon anyway, apropos that about Jack the Ripper, reminded me of "Waxworks", a game by Horrorsoft. for some (gruesome) screenshots, see <http://www.nemmelheim.de/horrorsoft/elvira/screenshots/waxworks/index.html>
[13:11:56] ski/rizon (old game, from the 90s, i should add)
[13:12:08] ski/rizon good to see you too, deadly
[13:12:37] ski/rizon a bit sleepy, but okay, ya
[13:12:48] ski/rizon yes, Aerith
[13:13:10] ski/rizon (had two earlier, as well)
[13:13:32] ski/rizon Aerith : it's only in japanese, so far ?
[13:14:44] ski/rizon if you're into JRPGs, you might enjoy "Bishōjo Senshi Sailor Moon: Another Story"
[13:15:18] ski/rizon yes, login
[13:15:40] ski/rizon that game is quite nice, actually
[13:16:14] ski/rizon what kind of game is that ?
[13:16:40] ski/rizon yea
[13:17:55] ski/rizon i've seen some japanese (and other asian) horror games
[13:18:20] ski/rizon Aerith : anyway, it's not a new game. you should be able to play it, with a SNES emulator, e.g. ZSnes or one of the others
[13:19:03] ski/rizon Chilla's Arts is a small indie Japanese game studio that's made a bunch of interesting horror games
[13:19:42] ski/rizon in "Closing Shift", you play as a barista at a coffee shop (including making latte, cappuchino, &c. &c.)
[13:20:57] ski/rizon "Fatal Frame"/"Project Zero" is a series of horror survival games, where you fight by using a camera
[13:22:08] ski/rizon "Forbidden Siren" is another two puzzle survival horror games, where you have an interesting game mechanic of being able to look out through the eyes of other nearby people (and hear what they hear)
[13:22:13] ski/rizon moin, End3r
[13:23:38] ski/rizon "Devil Came Through Here" ("The Cat Lady","Downfall: Redux","Lorelai") is a trilogy of puzzle adventure horror, that i quite enjoyed. 2D side-scroller, no mouse
[13:24:53] ski/rizon "Little Nightmares" (two games, plus DLCs), and "Darq" are more puzzle-oriented horror games, where you basically have to figure out what's happening entirely through the visuals
[13:27:12] ski/rizon "Soma","The Medium", and "Scorn", are 3D survival horror games. first one is quite philosophical, makes you think. latter two have quite interesting art styles, both being inspired by Zdzislaw Beksinski, and the latter also by H. R. Giger. the last one can be nauseating, at times
[13:28:00] ski/rizon "Fran Bow" is a cute point-and-click puzzle adventure horror game
[13:29:19] ski/rizon oh, also the "Penumbra" series is nice
[13:30:12] ski/rizon (oh, "Downfall" is also quite gruesome. all three of the DCTH series are quite deep, psychologically)
[13:32:08] ski/rizon hm, there's also a japanese point-and-click series, "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney", in which you're a detective, trying to solve a murder case, including arguing in court .. that's not really horror, though
[13:32:36] ski/rizon the "Nancy Drew" series of detective adventure games is also quite nice
[13:33:08] ski/rizon Rudolph : what about ones that are not real-time ?
[13:34:08] ski/rizon er, like the DCTH series, and "Fran Bow" (and "Little Misfortune")
[13:34:40] ski/rizon "Devil Came Through Here"
[13:34:45] ski/rizon by Harvester Games
[13:36:04] ski/rizon Rudolph : and "Alice: Madness Returns" ?
[13:36:21] ski/rizon fair enough
[13:36:52] ski/rizon hm, no. do tell ?
[13:37:15] ski/rizon that's RPGs ?
[13:37:34] ski/rizon i'm not sure if i've heard the title
[13:37:41] ski/rizon mm, right
[13:37:59] ski/rizon yea .. i don't really like that kind of censoring
[13:38:35] ski/rizon (iirc, there was some such censoring in later versions of "Ocarina of Time", as well. making blood green rather than red. and removing a crescent and star symbol, replacing it with another one)
[13:39:14] ski/rizon oh, TurboGrafx-16 .. i downloaded an emulator for that, once
[13:40:49] ski/rizon (i believe there was also some censoring in the remake of "Conker's Bad Fur Day")
[13:41:58] ski/rizon hm, from some comparisions i saw, it appeared less in the N64. that's the one i played, anyway
[13:43:05] ski/rizon walrus is fish, now ?
[13:44:33] ski/rizon irish666 : also beavers
[13:45:01] ski/rizon just slice-'n-dice
[13:46:54] ski/rizon you could fry it
[13:48:01] ski/rizon also a fine suggestion
[13:49:08] ski/rizon zof : daisuke ?
[13:52:38] ski/rizon wildting2,Rudolph : btw, reminded of "The Horrible Demon" (homebrew game, GameBoy Advance) by Bertil Hörberg in 2000 at <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FSgbTv1ROOY>
[14:16:43] ski/rizon Rudolph : Shadowgate looks lovely :)
[15:48:01] ski/rizon that's rather long
[16:24:00] ski/rizon it's too cold
[16:27:56] ski/rizon that's math rock ?
[16:28:01] ski/rizon er, s/that/what/
[16:31:35] ski/rizon [itchyjunk] : are you thinking about stuff like "Oh, If I Had Been a Scalar Product" by Matthew Matics at <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hxh-KCdm2u4> ?
[16:37:12] ski/rizon [itchyjunk] : oh .. that
[16:37:56] ski/rizon [itchyjunk] : like "Some Exploration of Bohlen-Pierce Harmony" by Cale in 2022-05-09 at <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0aF61KtCVIM> ?
[16:38:14] ski/rizon (in this case, it's not time signature, but rather the tuning)
[16:38:53] ski/rizon i know of two tunes, from computer games, one of which uses a seven-based time signature, and the other a five-based
[16:39:08] ski/rizon .. but my brother is much more into this kind of stuff than me
[16:39:22] ski/rizon sure
[16:39:52] ski/rizon hm .. i think Tool also often uses unusual rhythms
[16:40:01] ski/rizon (and Dream Theater, iirc)
[16:40:14] ski/rizon "APC" ?
[16:40:27] ski/rizon yea
[16:40:31] ski/rizon is that a band ?
[16:40:43] ski/rizon mhm, Maynard, yea
[16:41:47] ski/rizon "ttng zebra" ?
[16:41:57] ski/rizon okay
[16:49:18] ski/rizon is there a point to your shouting, CyberTruckBluku ?
[16:53:36] ski/rizon [itchyjunk] : oh, and not quite the same thing, but you might enjoy <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDi3Qayh2Kw>,<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8UBY8Yj9c0>
[16:57:16] ski/rizon [_] : some music, i can listen to on repeat, when i'm in the mood for that music
[16:57:45] ski/rizon (also see PM)
[17:05:46] ski/rizon SNES emulator ?
[17:12:08] ski/rizon you weren't being stupid, Jax
