[20:03:40] random-newbie Is this the right place to ask a question about Linux? (if not, sorry to disturb y'all, I'm a n00b)
[20:10:01] random-newbie I tried running `showkey -a` and the result is the same for  <Arrow key> and <Shift + Arrow Key>.
[20:10:01] random-newbie Shift + Arrow keys don't seem to register correctly when I'm using a TTY (the one that you bring up by pressing Ctrl + Alt + F1 - F6)
[20:10:02] random-newbie However, when running the same on a GUI terminal, this seems to register both of them correctly.
[20:10:02] random-newbie So far, I've tried a lot of things but I don't seem to be on the right track. I've explored keymaps (the TTY shows none are set, and I've tried playing around with different keyboard layout configurations through dpkg-reconfigure keyboard-configuration , but this doesn't seem to work.
[20:10:02] random-newbie Am I thinking in the right direction, or is there something very basic that I am not aware of?
[20:10:56] random-newbie nR thanks!
[20:21:23] random-newbie The distribution is Raspberry Pi OS Lite
[20:21:30] random-newbie I run i3wm over it to get to the GUI
[20:22:04] random-newbie And I aim to get this working in TTY mode.
