[02:50:53] ski mew
[03:01:15] ski hm, "Thaw" is a nice melody
[03:03:29] ski hm. not sure. my cat liked to eat peas. and cheese
[03:03:46] ski i can eat beef, if it's well done
[03:04:02] ski for cat, may have to be cut in small pieces
[03:04:55] ski how come ?
[03:05:41] ski mhm
[03:05:47] ski and in stew ?
[03:05:59] ski yea .. i don't eat sushi, either :p
[03:06:37] ski in the night ?
[03:06:50] ski boiled fish is .. not that tasty
[03:06:55] ski fried is better
[03:07:12] ski yea, was just about to mention baked can be good
[03:07:43] ski some times, i've made minced/ground meat sauce, in the frying pan, except using fish instead of meat
[03:08:15] ski salmon is quite nice
[03:08:50] ski also (warm) smoked (fat) fish is good
[03:09:25] ski i once ate clam soup. it was okay
[03:09:48] ski i've eated lutefish
[03:09:59] ski s/eated/eaten/
[03:10:44] ski it's preserved in a kind of chemical liquid. kinda similar to soap, in consistency .. the opposite of an acid, "basic"
[03:11:00] ski (kinda like bleach or something, i guess)
[03:11:24] ski then, when one should eat it, it's washed several times (with time to seep in new water inbetween)
[03:11:54] ski if you add red cabbage to lutefish, then the lutefish turns blue
[03:12:02] ski (chemical acid-base reaction)
[03:12:31] ski it tastes .. so-so. not my favorite
[03:12:52] ski no ostriches ?
[03:12:58] ski or snails ?
[03:13:13] ski or what are you trying to try ?
[03:13:38] ski we have cod caviar here. it's nice to eat with hard boiled eggs, on sandwich
[03:13:57] ski ouch :(
[03:16:19] ski :/
[03:16:29] ski seems like a good way to get a kid to dislike a food
[03:16:54] ski ..
[03:17:57] ski sometimes i wonder how sweet pea sorbet would taste like
[03:18:04] ski it might be good
[03:18:09] ski or avocado sorbet
[03:18:34] ski yea
[03:18:53] ski maybe it would have a strange consistency, when frozen .. i dunno
[03:19:53] ski ooh
[03:20:57] ski banana icecream is nice :)
[03:21:18] ski (don't put bananas in the fridge. they'll stop ripening)
[03:22:12] ski hm, a cow in the backyard, with a high fence
[03:24:36] ski my brother has a small icecream machine. the kind you put inside your freezer
[03:24:45] ski he made banana icecream
[03:25:06] ski MatCat : small chicks ?
[03:25:29] ski can they even swallow the big ones ?
[03:25:45] ski do you have an anaconda ?
[03:26:12] ski (also, perhaps foxy ought to have donated her snakes to MatCat)
[03:26:32] ski there were pics, earlier
[03:27:38] ski but not all chickens are people, i take it
[03:31:01] ski iirc, there was someone who was eaten by a Komodo varan
[03:31:17] ski of course not, duckgoose
[03:32:43] ski perhaps it's waiting for you to get your chickens
[03:32:47] ski (or cow, perhaps)
[03:32:58] ski yea .. i saw them :|
[03:33:12] ski .. oh
[03:33:27] ski MatCat : people imported, and let loose ?
[03:33:43] ski poor snek
[03:33:48] ski .. oh
[03:34:05] ski reminds me there are wild vallaby kangaroos, somewhere in England
[03:34:43] ski at least there was for some number of years
[03:34:56] ski presumably escaped from some private fenced area
[03:35:18] ski not the largest kinds of kangaroos. vallabys
[03:39:19] ski NiniGeo2 : "In the Peak District of England, a population [of wallabys] was established around 1940 by five escapees from a local zoo, and as of September 2017, sightings were still being made in the area. At its peak in 1975, the population numbered around 60 individuals." -- <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wallaby#Introduced_populations>
[03:40:25] ski would be better if they were giant flying sneks
[03:40:35] ski Quetzal-Coatls
[03:40:46] ski (or Kukulkan)
[03:42:38] ski his kingly majesty ?
[03:43:24] ski he ever talked in here ?
[03:44:00] ski mhm
[03:44:12] ski i take it you're aware of him from elsewhere, though
[03:44:28] ski .. idiotic presumption
[03:45:24] ski (bag the ducks .. perhaps a good idea)
[03:45:40] ski .. one could also nag them
[03:45:49] ski too short
[03:46:23] ski i'd believe you
[03:47:15] ski perhaps you'd have occasion to practice, with kid, or grandkid, many times
[03:50:26] ski (hm, someone else i was chatting to, maybe an hour ago, who's on Sri Lanka, found a poisonous large centipede, on her bad, when she came back from restroom .. apparently used an insecticide spray to get it to stop moving)
[03:50:41] ski (s/bad/bed/)
[03:51:47] ski probably somehow crawled in from outside
[03:51:58] ski (maybe attracted to light. i dunno)
[03:52:56] ski i guess she didn't dare slap it with a piece of wood, or something, so she used the spray. then had to wait a while for it to air out of room
[03:54:05] ski hard to tell, from the pic (not much at the side to compare with). i'd guess at least ten centimetres, possibly twenty (or even more ??)
[03:54:27] ski .. in africa, they have ones that are half a metre long
[03:54:45] ski i recall seeing a nature documentary
[03:55:16] ski those centipedes lived together, in a family, in a tree. there weren't too many trees there. like savannah, or half-desert
[03:55:57] ski in the morning, they'd walk after each other, in a trail, to another tree, to eat the leaves there, while having left a trail of silk after them, to find their way back in the evening
[03:56:53] ski the producers of the documentary tried playing them a prank, made the silk trail go round in a circle. they kept going, on and on, making the trail thicker and thicker. until finally they decided to go off the circular trail, in another direction
[03:58:43] ski foxy : earth food ?
[03:59:34] ski mhm
[04:00:12] ski never heard of that, before
[04:01:33] ski what else did he tell about it ?
[04:02:47] ski mmhm
[04:06:52] ski good night, pleasant dreams
[04:07:20] ski (early morning, here)
[04:08:12] ski (otherwise i may get pain, or stiffness, in my neck)
[04:09:19] ski hum
[04:09:51] ski haven't heard those terms before (but i can guess)
[04:10:08] ski i suppose often front-sleeper. but sometimes the other two, as well
[04:10:17] ski (i turn around)
[04:10:33] ski (although, when i fractured my elbow, it was harder to turn around, after that)
[04:10:49] ski .. somersaulted with bike
[04:11:06] ski landed on knee, elbow, and shoulder
[04:12:25] ski i immediately got up, and biked away, not wanting to get embarrassed by someone (like in the car i'd hit the brakes on my loaned bike, which didn't have pedal brakes, which i was unused to)
[04:13:32] ski thinking my knee was must hurt. later that evening, i noticed i couldn't bend the elbow much out of a right angle, either direction. two days later, i went to emergency room, waited maybe six hours. eventually got examination, then X-ray. also of shoulder (which i hadn't noticed was quite bruised)
[04:14:55] ski then i got a scheduled appointment for physiotherapeut, who gave me a thick rubber band thing, to do exercises (stretching, twisting, turning), with the arm. i wanted to get back to biking as soon as possible .. and to avoid stiffness becoming permanent, regain as much mobility (and strength) as possible
[04:16:12] ski i asked if it was okay to push exercises until it started to hurt more, and got a yes. two weeks later, i was back on bike. i regained almost the full range of angle, and almost all the strength (practically not noticable, by now). i don't think about it, for the most part, now. occasionally, elbow clicks slightly
[04:16:35] ski oh. i also got a mitella first. but i didn't use it much, finding it uncomfortable
[04:16:46] ski anyway, this was maybe eight years ago, or so
[04:17:09] ski (so that's that)
[04:18:03] ski i used that (borrowed) bike, because the earlier one i had got stolen (with passport, and two library books, in a bag on it)
[04:18:33] ski nope
[04:18:57] ski internal gear mechanism in the back wheel
[04:19:12] ski not the kind of bike with external gears (i don't like those)
[04:19:18] ski you pedal backwards, to brake
[04:19:24] ski (well, push, not pedal)
[04:20:47] ski (and the important part is that you can adjust quite well the level of the brake. i wasn't that used to using hand brakes, which is why i somersaulted, when a car suddenly appeared around the corner of a not-much-trafficed road, as i was speeding down a somewhat sloped, straight, road, on the bike lane, on my way in a hurry to somewhere)
[04:21:12] ski yea, you push it backwards, and it almost immediately starts to brake. harder the more you push
[04:21:58] ski anyway, around six months later, police rang (i had reported the theft, not expecting to hear anything again, just for the statistics), and said that someone had found the bike in the stairwell of their apartment building, and had moved it into the bike room there, then forgotten about it
[04:22:29] ski then, half a year later, they'd been down into the bike room, noticed the bike, with bag, was still there, noticed the passport, and contacted police
[04:22:41] ski (the passport was already invalidated, of course)
[04:23:29] ski and i got to return the two books (one city library, one university library). i had to insist returning the city library one, they thought i should keep it. but i wanted it to be available to the public
[04:23:56] ski login : the description of the bike that i'd given previously. and, especially, the passport
[04:24:26] ski i suspect someone drunk had taken the bike, biked to that place, then forgotten about it, or so
[04:25:15] ski (i had unfortunately forgotten to lock it, and take the bag, since i was stressed to manage to do something in time, when it got stolen)
[04:25:50] ski heh .. one time my brother biked into a bus stop cabing thing, because he fell asleep, due to not having slept much
[04:26:21] ski (sure woke up from that)
[04:27:24] ski another time, i hadn't slept for more than 48 hours, and was on my way home, walking, but i kept falling asleep (but kept walking, presumably with open eyes). i'd wake up, confused, trying to figure out where i was. then i'd start to fall asleep again, confusing surrounds with dream imagery. repeat
[09:17:47] ski morn, Miggy-Kun
[09:18:19] ski and night, MatCat,login (?)
[09:19:26] ski no worry :P
[09:20:54] ski sounds nice
[09:21:16] ski .. now i'm wondering how that would taste, with dill
[09:24:39] ski it's good, with e.g. mackarel in tomato sauce. or with tuna fish
[09:24:52] ski (both on sandwich)
[10:38:07] ski listing in column-major order ?
[10:52:20] ski mm .. related to (product) lexicographic ordering, to (de)categorification of arithmetic operation(s) (addition,multiplication,exponentiation/power), to field offsets, coordinates, numeral representation in a base
[17:39:17] ski perhaps there are atheist sikhs
[17:39:56] ski ComputerTech : connection broke, earlier, and `ChanServ' doesn't let me `op'
[17:42:47] ski rejoining is annoying, since i have to recall which setting to switch, to make the channel go into the same window, and not a new one (and then set it back again, afterwards)
[17:46:45] ski throwing a fit, for being opped ?
[17:48:59] ski ComputerTech : nah, it was relatively obvious that it wasn't anyone else
[17:49:17] ski but it was a good one, h4
[17:50:15] ski yea. accuse others of doing what you did :)
[17:51:43] ski (iirc, swedish officers (maybe 1600s or 1700s ?) pretended to be russian, attacking some place in Finland, in the hope of starting a way with Russia. must've happend many other times, too, in history .. hm, yea, now i recall hearing about that also happeing in the Boer war)
[17:52:36] ski the other day, i saw someone, elsewhere, mention "cholby", while appearing trolly. i guess maybe that was them. or maybe just an admirer
[17:53:45] ski i think i've seen them on some other network, too
[17:54:11] ski obviously
[17:57:05] ski you use `\r\n' or paper ?
[17:57:13] ski s/or/on/
[17:58:06] ski well .. at least there's `\f' on paper
[17:58:18] ski h4 : now swearing in here
[17:59:00] ski who would disown their own paper notes ?
[17:59:48] ski yea, but "only" doesn't mean "all"
[17:59:52] ski (basic logic")
[18:00:13] ski well, we should be thankful
[18:00:25] ski it builds character
[18:01:05] ski just as moving bags of salt from one end of town to the other, and then back again
[18:05:07] ski .. both here
[18:06:35] ski what for ?
[18:07:06] ski .. oops
[18:07:59] ski again ?
[18:08:11] ski for not fighting to the bitter end ?
[18:08:12] ski oh
[18:09:31] ski istr reading about some priest who was involved with trying to get the german POWs in britain livelyhoods, and a place to stay, when they were released
[18:10:40] ski i once chatted with a `ski0', in a channel
[18:11:12] ski apparently it was just some random person, who happened to've used that nick
[18:11:41] ski was somewhat hard to follow the conversation, for onlookers, though (i know, since someone said it looked like someone having a monologur)
[18:14:07] ski "myra" is "ant"
[18:14:25] ski (well, could also, possibly, be "mire")
[18:15:51] ski bringing up alcohol around him, or bringing up him around alcohol ?
[18:17:49] ski daniels ?
[18:21:25] ski Mikoolo : it's funny :)
[18:23:31] ski (".. If we faint someone, we'll get free ambulance, more vodka ! When friday comes, we'll drink like damned pigs, and when we'll start puking, the party is really going ! Because vodka, cleans our organs ! That's right ! .. If our liver stops working, we'll go to the US and get an operation .."
[18:23:36] ski )
[18:24:12] ski (and i don't really drink alchohol. i just find several of Eddie Meduza's songs funny)
[18:24:34] ski yep, i know that one :p
[18:25:16] ski yea .. probably humorless people
[18:25:30] ski there's also "Mera kärnkraft"
[18:25:35] ski yep
[18:28:11] ski i've seen swastikas on some medieval building here. and it's also in the artwork of some (old) churches and city halls and the like. it was used as a decorative symbol. of course, it comes in two forms. right-handed / sunwise / clockwise / deosil, which is considered "good" or "ordered" or "peace", and left-handed / counter-sunwise / counter-clockwise / withershins, which is considered "bad" or "chaos"
[18:28:17] ski or "war"
[18:28:21] ski .. needless to say, the Nazi's is the latter form
[18:28:49] ski (also, iirc, the Jainists, in india, still use it (i guess more the right-handed version ?), as a sacred symbol)
[18:29:35] ski on that medieval building, it was just beside the main entrance door. presumably people would run their fingers along the symbol, for good luck
[18:42:21] ski najs, Mikoolo :)
[18:48:11] ski Mikoolo : "Evert" <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDV5XB5kaps> and "Just Like An Eagle" <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cfyIASGItSc> are quite nice Meduza songs, too
[18:58:16] ski that's a nice one, too, Mikoolo :)
[18:58:24] ski "Me and the Boys" by The Living Tombstone in 2021-09-28 at <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ZxE6n4COck&list=PL5-WT4DlkvgpZCLKZuDSgwbsY7jRBlkGw&index=4>, made for the game "In Sound Mind" (psychological horror) by We Create Stuff / Modus in 2021
[18:58:42] ski "See, me and the boys / we got plans for what cames later, / after the war / Got names for a band and jobs for each other / It feels really good / Woah / I'm creashing, I'm crashing down / Everyone's crashing / but as long as we're together / Ooooooh / .."
[18:58:46] ski ".. / And the drummer plays a beat too long / and the whole damn song / starts to fall apart / Ooooooh / By show of hands, the group disbands, / and they won’t be back / by popular demand / .."
[21:14:11] ski Mikoolo : ooh, that's an interesting cover of it :o :)
[21:19:35] ski hm, i don't think so, login
[21:19:59] ski (i guess i also tend to prefer black tea)
[21:21:17] ski i remember i liked "Earl Green" (green tea with bergamot) .. unfortunately, the store stopped carrying it in (a bit) larger packages, just those small bags
[21:21:35] ski yea, i think i prefer green over rooibos
[21:22:36] ski Frogorg : you hadn't tasted it, before ?
[21:22:45] ski mhm
[21:24:06] ski i remember someone telling, that his daughter liked to take a slight sip from his (not strong) beer, when she was little. but when she was around, i think six or so, she suddenly started not liking it. i think this had to do with the bitterness taste cells, at the back of the tongue, developing around that time
[21:26:51] ski i heard somewhere they they (cartels) started smuggling avocadoes over the border to the U.S.
[21:27:40] ski "Will his daughter remember .." -- i dunno. many people don't remember too much from that time, perhaps especially particular individual sensations, most of the time
[21:29:12] ski when was this ?
[21:29:40] ski last few years ?
[21:29:56] ski mhm
[21:30:29] ski mm
[21:31:52] ski mm, so mafioso methods, a bit, i suppose
[21:35:28] ski Mikoolo : "Grobschnitt Volle Mölle" ?
[21:35:53] ski mhm. interesting
[21:36:37] ski these things commonly are, unfortunately
[21:36:54] ski ah
[21:37:04] ski (and is it "Molle" or "Mölle" ?)
[21:37:37] ski one at a time :b
[21:38:05] ski never heard of .. but doesn't sound too bad, so far
[21:38:16] ski (i like the instrumental parts, too)
[21:39:19] ski "Even sings the majority of their songs in english." -- well, not necessarily an undivides positive
[21:47:03] ski (what about Louisiana ?)
[21:48:43] ski what's that, foxy ?
[21:48:48] ski oh
[21:48:54] ski okay
[21:55:14] ski login : only way of writing "Computer", in german, yes
[21:55:17] ski er
[21:55:21] ski s/only/old/
[22:02:37] ski well, "keke" is three-letter
[22:02:43] ski is not
