oh, I had something similar happened to my computer too. I would boot it on and only get black screen. I then went to a computertech place in real life and they said it was the hardware that was too old so they added a new HDD on my computer and I had to re-install everything (windows, apps, firefox , etc) but now its working fine!

My former old HDD had a DVD player integrated to it. My new HDD doesn't. So I had to buy on amazon an external DVD / CD player, it works fine. I just have to plug it to my computer, put a dvd on it and it works fine
