[00:38:03] ski/rizon ComputerTech : turmeric, black pepper, milk, butter. possibly basil, oregano, dill, or thyme
[03:33:03] ski/rizon i'm not sure tea makes me more alert or energetic, really
[03:35:02] ski/rizon smoke sounds bad
[03:35:37] ski/rizon might be an electrical malfunction .. or at least a mechanical one, i guess
[03:37:02] ski/rizon hm, i had a capacitor in a sewing machine explode on me ..
[03:38:02] ski/rizon .. went with it to a sewing machine repair man. he said that it was something they added, back then, to avoid interference with analog TV signals, and suggested i could just remove the capacitor, free of charge
[03:38:50] ski/rizon well, it was already dead
[03:39:03] ski/rizon (and i rarely use the sewing machine, anyway)
[03:39:28] ski/rizon if you place them in vacuum, maybe ?
[03:41:22] ski/rizon .quote search diarrhea
[03:45:59] ski/rizon do you think it's a matter of being over-tired enough, sushi-chan ?
[03:46:30] ski/rizon puking yourself is pretty unpleasant, as well
[03:49:23] ski/rizon there used to be a pop/soda drink (in flasks) here, for kids, that turned their tongue blue
[03:50:10] ski/rizon (called "Vira Blåtira", meaning "Vira blue/black eye". "Vira" supposed to be a girls name, presumably after "Vera")
[03:52:35] ski/rizon (if someone would ask me to do one, i'd flatly say "no". if they'd say i'm a coward, i'd say "sure, okay, i'm a coward. now what ?")
[03:53:32] ski/rizon well, you mentioned "challenges" (on YouTube, and i believe people on TikTok also do those things), sushi-chan
[03:55:06] ski/rizon sometimes, you can feed trolls until they explode
[03:59:15] ski/rizon bic : maybe try plugging the hard disk into another computer (or vice versa), and see if you can access it from a computer that does boot
[04:00:12] ski/rizon yea, booting from a live C/DVD/USB could also be an option, to investigate
[04:00:37] ski/rizon nah
[04:00:44] ski/rizon ComputerTech is the computer tech
[04:01:16] ski/rizon might be motherboard issue, or harddisk failure, or perhaps power failure, bic
[04:01:27] ski/rizon (or perhaps something else .. hardware isn't my strong side)
[04:03:45] ski/rizon if you're wanting to boot from an USB stick, i could suggest installing Ventoy on it. after that, you can just store the ISO file(s) you want to boot, on the stick, and it will present you with a menu to select which to boot from
[04:04:52] ski/rizon (so you can then still use the USB stick to store other stuff. and you don't have to redo the whole installing a new image process onto the USB, if you ever want to boot from another image later)
[04:06:26] ski/rizon c0ded : sure. just it's handy to be able to liveboot from an USB, e.g. if you wanted to do some partition restructuring, or whatever
[04:06:50] ski/rizon sushi-chan : did you "eject safely" the USB stick ?
[04:08:45] ski/rizon "usually expensive stuffs are good quality" -- sometimes it's not really much higher quality, possibly even low qualitu. more being a status thing. "look at me, i can afford throwing away money at things !" (Louis Vuitton (sp?), &c.)
[04:11:21] ski/rizon go sleepeat ?
[04:12:17] ski/rizon tomorrow, sushi-chan will wonder who put the pillow inside the fridge
[04:13:30] ski/rizon i suspect toilets aren't that tasty
[04:14:46] ski/rizon i remember some teacher showing us it was perfectly fine to drink the toilet water (from inside the back of the toilet, in the tank where the water is stored)
[04:16:06] ski/rizon i'm told girls don't poop
[04:16:11] ski/rizon so you're out of luck
[04:17:03] ski/rizon we could discuss murder snails instead
[04:18:30] ski/rizon someone was recently praising cold, snowless, winters, because then (more of) the snails in the ground die
[04:19:32] ski/rizon you know french people aren't this good at english, bic
[04:20:47] ski/rizon but surely "lol" is not french, right ?
[04:21:14] ski/rizon you don't have a french version of it ?
[04:21:36] ski/rizon ah. balance in the universe is restored
[04:22:48] ski/rizon why do they say "..." in manga and so ?
[04:23:06] ski/rizon nope, ezzep
[04:23:30] ski/rizon (although, occasionally, people do talk about tech, in here)
[04:24:52] ski/rizon here, i think Bic is some kind of cheap razor brand ?
[04:25:31] ski/rizon ezzep : we did have someone ask about a computer failing to boot, less than an hour ago .. getting some advice
[04:25:46] ski/rizon isn't that what i said, bic ?
[04:26:16] ski/rizon did you have smog, in France ?
[04:26:40] ski/rizon itym "sorry, not sorry" (hth)
[04:28:14] ski/rizon sushi-chan : they can be color blind .. it's just more rare (at least for the usual kind of red-green color-blindness. for males it's enough if they have the gene defect on their X chromosome. for females, they have two X chomosomes, and the gene is recessive, so they've got backup, needs to have failure on both genes for it to actually cause color blindness)
[04:29:36] ski/rizon sushi-chan : in fact, it's been argued that in some rare cases, female artists may have had the gene defect on one X chromosome, actually causing them to be able to see four (rather than three) primary colors (tetrachromacy), so that they see the world more richly (and presumably could then be able to paint more richly, in some cases)
[04:30:42] ski/rizon not sure about gingers. but iirc brown eyes is dominant, and blue or green (or grey) is recessive
[04:31:29] ski/rizon CrystalMath : what was Klinefelter's ?
[04:31:54] ski/rizon CrystalMath : yes. what does it affect ?
[04:32:31] ski/rizon would aliens from Avatar really invade the earth, though ?
[04:32:52] ski/rizon i see, CrystalMath
[04:33:20] ski/rizon green clothes, and cap .. that's Link
[04:33:47] ski/rizon "calico" is them having three colors in fur ?
[04:34:18] ski/rizon til
[04:34:46] ski/rizon they don't have ginger cats in France ?
[04:35:10] ski/rizon there's a lot of "gingers", in some places in asia
[04:36:44] ski/rizon cats have a mirroring layer behind their retinas, in their eyes, that reflect the light back so it passes the light-detecting cells in the retinas again. helps them see better in the dark. is why their eyes appear to glow in the dark (if you have a light close to you, or behind you, shining in their direction)
[04:38:20] ski/rizon i had a classmate, whose father used at a chemical factory. one time, his father took him out into the forest, and they made nitroglycerine, and they blew up a tree, for fun
[04:38:36] ski/rizon s/used/worked/
[04:41:24] ski/rizon sushi-chan : reminds me of some film, where rich people kidnapped some people, and set them on a race, for fun, allowing them to use any methods to get rid of their competitiors. only the winner would get the privilege of not being killed at the end
[04:42:47] ski/rizon in the end, one of those rich people got force fed an explosive ampule (like everyone of the competitors had been injected with) ..
[04:43:12] ski/rizon probably
[04:43:50] ski/rizon CrystalMath : hot dogs ?
[04:44:10] ski/rizon real ones are usually hot .. at least inside
[04:44:38] ski/rizon bic : not really. i never was too much into watching them in the first place (was years since i last watched one)
[04:45:00] ski/rizon gn, sushi-chan, pleasant dreams
[04:45:34] ski/rizon i've probably watched less than fifty films, in my life
[04:46:27] ski/rizon (i would say maybe twenty or thirty .. but that might be inaccurate, so better overshoot a bit, than undershoot)
[04:49:11] ski/rizon "Picnic at Hanging Rock" is a nice film
[04:50:06] ski/rizon by australian director Peter Weir in 1975 (iirc). written by Joan Lindsay in 1967
[04:51:10] ski/rizon about some girls at a girl boarding school (in Australia), in the year 1900, on Valentine's Day, who go for a picnic at the (volcanic site) "Hanging Rock" .. then something mysterious happens
[04:51:22] ski/rizon it's said that the film put australian filmmaking on the international map
[04:52:23] ski/rizon music is also nice, haunting
[04:52:42] ski/rizon both are good, i'd say
[04:53:32] ski/rizon yea, it's more a mystery kind of film
[04:54:31] ski/rizon last i checked, whole film is avilable on YT
[19:20:46] ski/rizon 9.7 °C sounds pretty cold, for indoors
[20:00:32] ski/rizon ComputerTech : she was, briefly
[20:02:06] ski/rizon hm .. "dave" backwards is "evad"
[20:02:44] ski/rizon (.. sounds like an old-fashioned spelling of "what"?
[20:14:06] ski/rizon santa, or satan ?
